Thank you Joe.....well, my attitude is always good when it's Super Duper or above. :). I think it's improved since Joseph (Primo)'s advice from a couple months back, where he said I shouldn;t worry about a cut/Knick when it happens-the worrying(if any)should happen at the end of the shave(i.e. the cold-water rinse). Off to the gym in a while. :).

This handle feels a bit heavier than the one that came with the R89 (I don't have a scale, so it may not be much difference). I'll have to see how another handle will feel too. Thanks.

    Good morning guys!

    Straight razor shave #229
6/8 Ralf Aust Full Hollow Spanish Point
    Semogue OC Super Badger Brush
    Stirling Spice SS and AS
    Whisker Growth: 38 hours

I haven't used this razor in 2 months so it was time to bring it out. Bloomed the soap to get a preshave from the bloom water. The Semogue brush whipped up a nice, creamy, wet lather and it was rare that I enjoyed this brush. It is such a lather hog, but with changing my technique on lathering with badger brushes, ithas been a better exoerience. I used to splay the brushes first and then paint the lather, but I have found doing the reverse will release the lather more effortlessly. Two passes and a touchup gave me a BBS - shave without any errors. Splashed on the juice and I am quite pleased with this morning's shave. I must say that the Stirling Spice scent really gives off a pleasant cologne type scent. It is one of my favorite fragrances.
Tomorrow night I will use the same setup in keeping with my double-duty theme. Have a great Saturday gents! 20201212_082418.jpg

Like I said, "No sweat". I always have my name on the signature lines below my posts to help old roosters like me to help them remember. Sometimes, the young ones need a reminder, too! Lol!

My little Den is getting quite crammed now. After my BIG purchase(s) soon, I may need to put some soaps or aftershaves into my bedroom! The time for creative thinking has begun.

    Mine is different than that...
I pour some witch hazel onto a cotton round and wipe my face, thus removing all soap residue. Then, once that dries I splash on my aftershave.

Fabulous shave with an awesome kit, PierPaolo! I just love the handle on that safety razor! Enjoy your weekend, my friend! I just lost another cousin to Covid in Montecatini Terme where my family’s from! Stay safe and healthy!

I agree completely, Barry! I own two Pro48’s, one in its original handle and another transplanted to one of Jason’s (@jtspartan) exemplary brush handles! :happy088:
