I'm way, way behind in trying to catch up (and very well may not get there).
I find it interesting that my experience with different blades in a shavette is opposite of yours. When I was doing a 100-day run with the Parker, all sorts of different blades were used - Feather, Derby, Astra, GSB, Voskhod, Shark, VDH, etc. I really never noticed much difference between them, with one exception - the Big Ben blades by Lord. They're miserable in any razor. The blades got swapped after every 3rd shave, so longevity never came into play. I even thought, very briefly, of having my wife randomly loading blades for me, just to see if there was any perceptible difference, and/or if I could guess correctly. That would've meant teaching her to load blades into a shavette, even if a bunch were pre-snapped, so that idea was dismissed. ;)

I'm pretty sure that Chris @Bama Samurai even stated something along the lines that he doesn't notice much difference between blades, and even less so in a shavette.

Nonetheless, great shave Joe! Hope all is well with you!

Great shave, Joe, as usual! I’m a little concerned about the gender fluidity I’ve observed with respect to your beloved shave hatchet! A few months ago the reference pronoun was ‘she’ and here you’re referring to ‘him’! C’mon, out with it, is your shave hatchet transgender?? Inquiring minds want to know! :happy097::happy102:
