The bedroom is upstairs...all windows and doors are alarmed and there is a motion detector set so fine that anything more than a house cat will set it off. Hopefully, if the alarm goes off, I will be able to set up at the top of the stairs and pick them off.

In addition, there is a pistol in every room of the house, and a huge iron pipe by the front door.

I will go down fighting for sure. But, everyone must go at some point, I just hope I can take a few of them with me!

it was a Netflix night, for sure:

    1st: Beetlejuice
2nd: Young Einstein - like Beetlejuice, a movie I haven't seen in years, well over 10 I'm sure. As cheesy as it is, I love it! Micah was right....
3rd: Myth Busters can't remember what season, but it was episode 8, testing a bullet fired from a gun and dropped at the same time would hit the ground at the same time. I'd heard and seen Mr. Wizard does this with coins, and proved the theory, I'd never heard of it with bullets, and thought "how the crap are they gonna figure out how to do this one".
Well, figure it out they did, and was a very impressive experiment

and now with fresh images of Kari on my mind, good night HYD!

Fairly mild night here, spent some time in the wood shop working on some scales, sadly trying to avoid my wife as she's come down with influenza. I've got a blood type donation to give in a few weeks and can't get sick.

Much appreciated Bill, She was very touched. I'm on everything from Vitamin D to oil of oregano. I realize it's not much for a fight against viral but it's all the mental game...I hope.

Hopes for tomorrow, I shall now retire to the couch for the night.

Ugh... snow came in last night leaving 1-2 inches on the ground. I know it isn't much, but there it is. Hopefully I live far enough north of town that town didn't have any accumulation. I am supposed to be out leaf raking with a bus load of students today as a service project.

Oh well... I plan on taking daughter to see Megamind this weekend. Hope it is a good hour of enjoyment. :D

amazing the geographical differences....Justin's area says "1-2 inches of snow, gee this is a minor inconvenience"
around here, it's one of two responses, depending on if you're older or younger than 15:
older: "holy crap, snow! cancel everything! no school! no work! nothing! (except wal mart of course, let's not go nuts here)
younger: "holy crap, what is that???"

okay, maybe I exaggerated a teensy weensy bit.....

    You did.

That remark about walmart was way too tame. Most folks around here would have said, "Quick! We must go to walmart and buy all the bread and water! THE END IS NEAR! THE END IS NEAR!"

Yeah... well... People still do that around here every time a winter storm is on the way. The only thing different is the size of the storm. Of course around here, a large storm can make the roads impassable and knock out power for quite a while.

them? who's them? if I am ever in your neighborhood I'll make sure to call first!

young einstein- yahoo serious, right? he made another movie that was also funny and entertaining. I'm blanking on the title right now. a little help, micah?

yahoo serious needs a comeback. justin fraser totally copied his act and stole his thunder.

    exaggerate? that's reality.

micah's exaggerated a little, tiny bit, although he left out the part about "we can't close walmart. walmart is the center of all life- both social and spiritual. If we close walmart then riots and looting will ensue. WE MUST PROTECT WALMART."

Seriously. The Walmart parking lot was the place to be on Friday and Saturday nights when I lived in Columbia, MS. If I could pull all those people to a congregation then I'd be set for life.

this whole time change thing was designed by someone who had no children, and who I suspect held a grudge against parents.

So we went through the whole process of changing the clocks and putting them to bed an hour late. when did they wake up? the usual time, which is an hour before wake up on this particular day. I hate the time changes.

Actually Ben Franklin did have a big issue with his son. They were on opposite sides of the revolution and all....

Hey fellas. Sitting down here in Beckley, W.Va at the hotel. My great-grandmother passed away the other night, so we came down for the funeral and all. She was 90. The wife and I were just glad we got to come down a while back so she could see the great-great-grandkids one last time.

On a side note, while I am here we might give Colleen a call (from TGQ) and see if she can meet up with us. The last time we were able to get pictures with her and the kids. That was cool. Well, I better get off the computer. I hear a kid getting yelled at, and it is probably one of mine. You guys take care, and stay out of the jail.
