    Good evening guys!

    Straight razor shave #231
    10/8 Max Sprecher 1/2 Hollow Barber's Notch
    Catie's Bubbles Tuxedo Knot
    Stirling Satsuma SS and AS
    Whiskers: 31.5 hrs

I am being called in tomorrow so I wanted to shave this evening.
In keeping with using any soap no matter the time of year, Satsuma got the nod. The mandarin scent really puts me in a very good mood.

The Catie's Bubbles knot has a nice backbone and it really gave me a great lather. I would say it was picture postcard material. Mad Max delivered a near BBS shave on just 2 passes. Didn't receive any wounds and I was irritation free. Splashed the matching awesome juice to finish this nice shave. Have a great evening guys! 20201214_184748.jpg

just a few more updates, we completed a 3 1/2 mile run tonight as a unit, surprisingly wan't too bad, however must admit your ankles and feet can get worn out just a little bit. Might get a pair of combat boots this Christmas just to condition my feet pre boot camp. Holding off on a shave this week, waiting for my small batch winter reserve shave tonic to come in, It's been fairly late. When I called my local post office today, they said the distribution center up in Atlanta is around 8,000 packages behind.

Excellent run Myles! I don't think that I can jog 1/4 mile. Lol!

Good run. As long as you prepare ahead of time physically, you won't have to worry about the boots. The issued boots are not as nice as what you can buy (I bought comfortable ones before my only deployment), but they are not bad.

Chris - enjoying learning, whatever the subject

Wonderful shave Andrew. Is there a significant difference between the R41 and R102?

    Thank you, Joe!
They actually share the same razor head. The only difference is the handle. The chrome handled version is R41. R101 has a black handle. R102 has a white handle. R103 has a tortoise handle.
The same naming style applies to the closed comb R89 head as well. R89 is chrome handled. R106 has a black handle. R107 has a white handle. R108 has a tortoise handle.

Alas, my running and jogging days are long over. I probably can do a slow jog, but the constant pounding on 65 yr old knees would not be advised. I don't have arthritis, but I still have 65 yr old knees. Yes, I am in decent shape, but I know my limits.
