Very excited to finally have a Wilkinson Razor coming. Seen some use an Injector blade so I'll need to find out how.
I just purchased this 1950's Canadian made 1932 Pat. Tech razor off eBay. Should be arriving after Xmas.
Thanks! It looks to be in excellent shape too for a 70 year old piece. With it's case too! I will just have to clean and sanitize it and it'll be ready for use. This is one I can't wait to try out. I have also ordered what's supposed to be a 1962 (my birth year) tech and a gold plated one but not sure of it's age. It just said "Post war" in the ad.
Central Texas Soaps(Grandpa's Barbershop soap)* *The NEW version-this one will be minus the Bentonite Clay. Should be here Fri(18th).
This was part of a cheap eBay lot that arrived yesterday. I knew only that it was W&B, and assumed it was hollow ground because there wasn’t a detail picture, and the price seemed low to me (~$8, if you divide the price evenly). But it appears to be a full wedge, which was on my wish list. I’m hoping it’ll clean up nicely and be a great shaver. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
Been on a frag jag lately. A few things in the way: This one actually arrived today: This one is supposed to be awesome: Finally, a vintage bottle of Dior Eau Sauvage
I'm guessing it's silver plated, but I really know very little about this brand. Was drawn to it by its rfb style.
@Aztecmike Do the Aluminum Foil and Baking soda clean 1st so you don't remove more silver plating than you need to. https://www.rd.com/list/how-to-clean-silver/
Flitz is some awesome stuff. Thanks Dave..very good advice. I've used that method with very good results in the past. It worked wonders on 100 years of tarnish on a gillette bulldog old type I bought a while back.
I had a few minutes to kill on my lunch break today so I made a deal on this razor made by Prybrands Inc aka Conrad Razor Co. This one will become my regular user to help preserve another one I have with no handle brassing which came in a R.H. & Macy Co. case. I have also seen this same set in a B. Altman & Co. branded case. It's a superb shaver which has become one of my favorites.
