Gorgeous everything there Jason. The razor looks awesome, such a natural pairing with your brush and bowl work. Looks like an image straight out of yesteryear (well, maybe not that Stirling bottle, but still...).

Cool setup Andrew! How do you like the CTS Sandalwood? Is it on the ToBS/Proraso sweet side...or on the sawdust dry side like Wet Shaving Products? Maybe somewhere in between? Sandalwood junkie here.....

Oh....and I don't get those nasty ingrown things since I started straight razor shaving 5-6 days a week. Nudge nudge .

True! You guys down yonder would have trouble driving through it because you don't get that much snow.

 

Thanks Blair! I have only used it 3 or 4x times, but I have been getting great shaves with Cella.

 

Thank you, Blair! This sandalwood scent is not sweet at all and leans much more to the woody side. It is a dry scent and does have amber and musk added to the mix as well.
You would probably like their aftershave formula. It's not just a straight up alcohol splash; it seems more focused on skin health as witch hazel and aloe are the top two ingredients. Alcohol is the third listed ingredient, but I don't feel any burn.

As for the straight razor shaving...that will have to be for another day.

 

Well, I am called in to substitute tomorrow. Boy, am I glad I cleared my car and parked it on my side street that was plowed. Oh, It is a 2 hour delay so I don't have to report until 9:10 am. Love it!

Thanks, Blair, but I can’t take credit for the bowl. It is an old C & E soap bowl. Had it for years.

 

Something a little different. I made a razor stand, with turned posts and buttons on top. It is an illusion, they are not one piece. Wood is Ebony and Australian Ironwood. Pic is before the finish:

Picked these woods because I already had them and because I though it would match the display rack nicely. I am pleased with the finished product after some Polymerized Tung Oil finish (a la @9nein9):
