The V3 SS Hawk looks fantastic, Danny. Very well put together for the price. A very unique razor, I find. There are a few different versions, I think, based on aggression.

I got a few NOS sent by @Screwtape several years ago. John must have had a whack of them as he was able to PIF some to many of us on here at the time. I don't believe Personna makes them anymore. Cannot speak to a Schick version.

 

A great description of the steel and company, Jeff. Thanks for that. Looking at that vintage blade, I had no idea that any GEM blades had that level of artistic scrollwork on them. Very cool.

 

I laughed, Dave, but then felt guilty knowing that a few fine 30DC brothers are nearing the 'Depends' demographic and it might hit a little close to home for some...

The Senator looks great, Gary. You have amassed quite a unique collection of soaps for sure. Some of the stuff you show off I don't seem to see anywhere else. Congrats.
The '48 looks great. My father in law has turned rebuilding a '51 Panhead from the frame up a long term retirement project.

 

Another stunning shot as always, Jim. The scent sounds really interesting- a citrusy bay rum could really work.

Thanks Jason. It thoroughly impressed me with it's first outing, and barely a handful of my safety razors qualify for that statement. You/Joseph/Jeff enabled me with all the BFH 30DC commentary, posts and images over the past six+ months. Technically it's not quite in the 'minty' category quite as expected (and described), the top cap has lots of micro surface scratches, and a couple of the outer edges has the plating chipped/gone entirely. The top scratches don't go deep luckily. Trying to buff it a little, they are better, but the plating is thin, and now has a slight brass tint show through. Still was a great acquisition for the $, no regrets. Absolutely a keeper. I'll see how it fairs with my slight OCD of wanting this example @jluc shiny for the long run.

 

I think I am entitled to have a little countdown after 41 years.
