Probably what Doc Pinaud said back in the 1800s , when his product began making the rounds it does today.

That’s exciting, Danny! I bet you can’t wait to see and hold the little bugger! I still have one of my twin premature granddaughters in the hospital. It’ll be fun to see and hold her! :)

Thanks, Joe! It’s a really sharp blade, and shaves beautifully! I don’t mind the rinsing; heck, you can probably do a full pass without rinsing that shave hatchet of yours! :p

Thanks, Danny! I may not! That’s one my son’s primary razors, and part of his seven day rotation! But, if he doesn’t plow my driveway today, maybe I can work out a deal where I can take the Hoshi Tonbo in exchange for a cancellation of his old fart maintenance responsibilities! I’ll think of something! :)

Joe, you never rode a bike when you were young. After my discharge in 69, I bought a BSA 750cc Rocket 3 and kept it for two glorious years! My big mistake was taking my new bride from Philly to Quebec City on our delayed honeymoon! Ah, impetuous youth! :(

I never had a motorcycle license and quite frankly, didn't want one. I was a passenger on a motorbike once and that was the last and final time for me. Personally, you are flirting with severe injury and death when you ride motorbikes. They should be outlawed in heavily populated areas like Long Island.

    Friday's Shave

    GEM Heavy Flat Top (G-Bar)
    GEM S/S PTFE (4)
    Mozingo Brushworks
Combo Lather - Palmolive Shave Stick / MWF
    Dickinson's Witch Hazel
    Irisch Moos Aftershave

One last run with the MWF for Fat Friday. Combining it today with the Palmolive stick to ensure lather stability and density proved to be an excellent choice. After loading the last remnants of the MWF, I face lathered on top of the Palmolive layer. The resulting lather was one of the best combo lathers that I've had.

3 passes provided a comfortable and efficient result this morning with no irritation or mishaps. A double dose of Irisch Moos made for an excellent finish to the shave.

We have no worries, Joe, since we haven't exposed our extremities to Nair as some of our esteemed brothers appear to have done. :D

OK, OK...we did use Dipity-do back in the 70s when we were young and stupid, but there's no data to suggest that we've done any irreparable harm.

What happened to Canada nice, anyway? :happy097:

Hi Charlie. Hope you and Kathy are well. Favorite soaps and fragrances...really hard to say. The soaps in my den have been so pared down, that there isn't a one I do not like. Indeed, my huge den clearance is filled with soaps I actually like as well. Oh well... Now fragrances are another story. I have been really into some niche fragrances and "blasts from my past". So you might notice some new names on my SOTD reports.

That Jason...it is a great value. I think there are three base plates. An "A" (marked on the plate) which is the most aggressive, the open comb which is in the middle and the solid bar which is the one I shaved with this morning. The razor that Jim sent me is an open comb and has been inroute for three weeks now. :(

    Take care.
