Thank you,Joe. 'it's not neccessary to purchase top shelf gear to get quality shaving results'!.That's so true.! Technique & shaving confidence trumps tools.
Take care, and enjoy your sunday.

Thanks Joe and yes acquired from them. Knot was MUCH smaller when compared to every 24mm I had and so pulled it and reknotted with the Maggard's Timberwolf which finally has me happy with it as I'm a huge Minions fan.

After going over the books of car dealers for years either as clients or lending money to them, the margins or car sales are not what you think they are. In years past that was true but not now. What you call back end commission is an increase in expense reimbursement or a retro active reduction in inventory pricing for hitting certain sales goals. I have not seen many dealers share that in any form with a front line salesman that greets you at the door. Those guys come and go all the time. The floor manager, fleet sales guy and the finance guy make or break the front of house. Now you see a higher contribution to bottom line profit from the service department. Again that's my experience from looking at the books.

Fine shave this morning. Middle of the trifecta for Sir Hare Alpha(Tobacco&Sandalwood)and Stoylin Gentleman A.S. I had the Stoylin 26 mm. Pro Handle synth for today's brush. I didn't shake off all the water from the tap, which resulted in 0:40 of quite moist loading onto the brush. Should dry out(some)for tomorrow. 0:10 of additional loading as I began the shave, moving the total time to 0:50. For the second time this month, I didn't put much thinking into the shave(except for the edges of N. Porcupine Alley, which ALWAYS require thinking).1st pass went fine, but ironically that same location is where I got a cut during the 2nd. Thankfully, that was the only blemish in the shave. The cold-water rinse later helped take care of it to the point where there is now no further damage. S. Porcupine and most of Cactus Nation were well done(I always leave some astroturf in the same place on Cactus..need to focus on that area more). Wonderfully smooth shave for the most part with this Sir Hare soap. Another nice finish from Stoylin Gentleman A.S. Super Duper Excellent.

Well, I am going to do it. 11 days still remaining in this month, but for the survey, I will project ..Mix It Up...Whatever Suits My Fancy.. as the winner. Mix's 60% is too much for the current second place shaver(30%).......Best Christmas Cookie Recipe.

    Barrister & Mann Bay Rum~~Simpson CH2 Synthetic~~Böker
This shave is dedicated to Clint @theFAT98 who, on
    November 23, mailed me a
package, containing a Barrister & Mann Bay Rum shave soap and aftershave.
Yesterday, December 19, it finally arrived.
Was it worth the extended wait :signs002:
Indubitably, it was well worth the wait.
B&M, back then, with this soap base, established itself as a leading player in the shave market.
But...rather than stay true to its roots, made multiple, questionable decisions to
"re-formulate", always "claiming" the new base was "new and improved".
    Horse Hockey.
Personally, I do not care for the Reserve or the Excelsior bases.
They are gooey and the scents are not my cuppa Joe.
Today's Bay Rum was produced pre-West Indian hurricanes, and therefore, the
    pimenta racemosa is absolutely top-notch.
The soap, itself, had dried out considerably so I did my usual thing and grated it.
With my CH2, I proceeded to create an exquisite lather, rich, creamy and wafting
with the scent that so many men---and women love.

The Böker was lovingly stropped both with my charged (thank you @Edison Carter ) linen strop
and finished on my SRD 3" leather. (Thank you Lynn Abrams).
Keen edge, deft hands, three passes and Primo's puss is feeling great.
    Double splash of the
Kyovu Bay Rum (what's up with that name?)
and I am ready to have a great day.
Hope you all do, as well.

SOTD SUNDAY MORNING, DECEMBER 20, 2020

My youngest grandson, Nate (age 3), is coming over to make Kifli, an Austrian-Hungarian killer pastry cookie, with his grandfather and grandmother this afternoon. So, despite the gloomy weather, I pulled out two of my favorite shavers, my Eclipse Red Ring safety razor for the dome, and my R. Saito SK3 7/8 smiling straight razor for the mug! After building my two usual MWF lathers, I launched right into a slow, leisurely three pass (WTG, ATG, XTG) mug shave. The Saito is such a great razor to shave with. It always feels like I’m just scooping away the lather with this razor. I took my time, and ended up with a velveteen smooth face. The Red Ring is an incredibly efficient safety razor as well. It is easily the equivalent of my R41 without the same blade feel. Two pleasant passes (ATG, ATG) left my dome exactly the way I like it. This was such a great shave I may repeat it tomorrow with my lime software. I feel clean, velveteen and refreshed.

RAZOR: R. Saito SK3 7/8 (Mug), Eclipse Red Ring (Dome)
    BLADE: Feather DE
PREP: Cold water rinse followed by a scrub with Argan Oil
BRUSH: Alpha Shaving T-400 Tribute with 26mm Two Band Badger Ferrule
    SOAP: Mitchell’s Wool Fat
POSTSHAVE: Cold water wash with brush squeezings followed by Humphreys Lilac WH. Finished with Pre de Provence Bergamot & Thyme Balm.
