    Razor: Gibbs #15
    Blade: Wizamet (?)
    Brush: Rubberset 400/Cashmere Synthetic
    Soap: Ethos Mèlange d'agrumes
    AS 1: Humphrey's Alcoholado Maravilla 70
    AS 2: Ethos Mèlange d'agrumes
    Fragrance: Calvin Klein One

So, I don't see a lot of Ethos talked about on here and thought I'd run thru the 3 scents I have. They are new to the game and running up the ranks pretty quick. They are an amazing soap/croap (Franks working on firming it up going forward without messing with the formula much) Hence the lather bowl instead of face lathering. Best feature is the use of all natural blah blah blah. H's been in the hair care business for years and really knows his stuff. When he talks about it all with the passion he has I start hearing the teacher in Charlie Brown. Sorry if you're reading this Frank. I just LOVE his soap. The hidden secret is his Skin Food Splash though for me and I can't call it an aftershave because of all the goodies in it. He may come chime in on the forum somewhere as I've been encouraging him to become a vendor here. Anyway this is an amazing citrus blast of a scent. I love that e gives you the little eye dropper with this one because citrus can be a fleeting or light scent sometimes and it has more of the scent oils in it to add to the splash or soap if you want. I haven't had to use it yet as it's plenty strong enough for me.

On to the razor......I finally got the little blade aligner things in from the 3D printer and they make it so easy now to nip the end off a modern blade so t will fit and yet still have it dead pan aligned. The original Gibbs blades had a notch to do that for you which means posts in the way requiring the snipping the ends of the blades to fit. Pic to show the aligners which were a simple but genius fix for the issue. Set on 5 and got a glassy smooth shave today. That's all I have for the shave................now where's my coffee and muffin..........Oh yeah, Have a great day everyone !!!

When I took the razor apart to install the aligners last night, it was tight and hard to unscrew at first. Noticed a tad of rust/corrosion on the threads which may have been what caused it to be for sale. I'll clean it up and add some lubricant to help it in the future as well as clean between shaves. That won't be a chore now with the new aligners.

Terrific shave and report, Dave! Very cool that it's easier to make the Gibbs a part of the rotation.

I tried to pick up some Ethos awhile back. Quick initial response but I never heard back so I moved on.

Shoot me your info after clicking your heels 3 times and I'll send you some samples of the 3 I have. He's had website creator woes as he's a perfectionist, covid and family issues but getting close and should be shipping to Canada now when emailed an order. All that aside, I'm happy to be your crack dealer and send you some samples :D

    Thanks Joe

    SE Shave #171

    Rating: 5 / 5

    Razor: Schick-Injector Type G
    Blade: Persona Injector
Brush: Wolf Whiskers 24 mm Maggard Tux Synthetic
Lather: Wholly Kaw King of Oud
Aftershave: Wholly Kaw King of Oud
    Additional Care:
    Barbero Alum Block
    Stirling Tea Tree Witch Hazel
    Stirling Unscented Glacial Balm

Another wonderful shave this morning. The Wolf Whiskers synthetic easily whipped up a nice slick lather. A three pass shave has left my face smooth and refreshed. I am definitely a big fan of this soap and splash combination.
Today is the last day of the work week. I am sure the Yutes are looking forward to the break as well.
    Have a great day gentlemen.

Thanks for the offer, Dave. Very generous. I'm overflowing with everything right now. Doubtful I'll be adding more. I'm even thinking of giving a No Buy 2021 a try. Again, I really appreciate the offer.

Great shave Joe I miss my Wolf Whiskers. It was a sad casualty in a trade for a Highly Polished Rockwell 6s. Happy I got the razor but miss the brush that was obtained in a trade.

Thanks for the explanation and education. I have had one cologne for the past 30 years and rarely used aftershave, so this is a very new area for me. I will have to try some things out over time.

HA! HA! HA! That's funny...a No Buy 2021 for Jim.
Whoever you are that hacked Jim's TSD account, we're on to you. Jim can't go two weeks without buying shave gear. That statement couldn't possibly have been posted by him.
