Sounds like you have a great plan there, Blair. Like you, my Bride and I have totally different eating patterns and schedules. I also struggle with portion size, so I include a lot of high volume/low calorie foods in my diet to fill up.

My dear sister gave me a bourbon fruit cake this week. It's a good one, not your typical door stop that gets passed around, and I'm a fan. What I consider to be an small serving has 450 calories!!! I weigh many of my foods to keep myself honest, and I've settled on ~75 g daily servings to stay within my daily budget. At least I get to enjoy the taste...in moderation. :)

Maybe one night a week, I'll go a little crazy, but I make myself "pay back" those calories during the week...either by eating less or exercising more. That seems to work for me.

Congrats on your journey, and Happy upcoming 25th!

Gorgeous photo and lineup, Blair. The razor is stunning and the soap sounds fantastic.

Despite the reopening of the wound, it still an excellent shave, Blair. The straight is truly blingy and the rest of the setup is pretty awesome.!

What's funny is that I love to record/time/watch almost every aspect of a walk/bike/exercise session......but abhor doing the same for food intake (logging, weighing, etc.). One of my favorite quotes to myself...you can't out-exercise a bad diet.

Eating/drinking ~80% of the time single ingredient foods (non carb based)....over a longer time, makes my taste buds super sensitive to sweet. Most fruits become a sugar sensory overload. That commercial icing on most store bought cakes....almost burns the tongue!

A motorsport buddy introduced me to Topo Chico mineral water. It's hyper carbonated. Get it below 40 degrees....and it tastes exactly like original sugary 7up to me. Also goes well with adult beverage recipes.....:bounce015:

Awesome shave Paul! Stirling Spice is a great scent that you can wear anytime of the year. Just don't wear it while shopping in Aisle 12 because you will have to walk over women who swooned over you.

I had a 24 hour fitness platinum or whatever membership for decades. It was great, worked for what I needed back when I wanted to be an indoors exercise 'rat' (all those repetitive machines).

But, let mine expire in 2018, my wife letting hers expire this year. No way I'd go inside a gym ever again.

I know it works for you Joe....but I'm an outdoors hiking/bicycling/walking/rock hopping anything 'rat' now :D. Really always have been since the 70s. Upper body strength.....not a problem....almost 3 days a week, 8 hours a day carrying 20 lbs of camera/lens/various gear, or when at home....plenty of tire rotating, crazy wrench turning maintenance with 4 vehicles in the driveway.
