Good luck reaching your goal, Blair! I'm not one for New Year's resolutions, however I think one needs to be made for me to start eating better and getting some exercise. There has been way too much just food consumed over the last several months, and not nearly enough activity.

 

DFS saw something in today's SOTD photo that wouldn't allow it to upload. I doctored it up with a light flare to get it to work. Looks kinda cool.

I've often wondered about their jeans. They seem well made, like everything else they offer. Do they look like "regular" jeans, or are they more of a "dad jeans" style?
For the last few years, we've been getting Silver Jeans. Oh my are they ever comfy. They look like cool person jeans, yet they feel like wearing PJ bottoms. Very soft and stretchy.

 

The light flare looks cool.

Great Auto Strop shave, Andrew! As for your software choice....

 

I find it very similar to Stirling Soaps (my preferred soap) in terms of consistency and ability to lather, but from what I understand, Stirling uses tallow and Captain's does not.

Shave Cream & Aftershave

Happy Hump Day Everyone. Inspired by @Droo78, I went with La Toja shave cream today. I like the mineral scent and the performance. Three passes and touch ups ended in another automatic BBS shave. A splash of the La Toja aftershave and I am off to a client site for the day. Officially today is the last work day of the week. Unofficially, I will be working some on Thursday and Saturday. I hope to avoid working on Sunday. I hope everyone has a fantastic Wednesday.

Razorock shave this morning with two Hawks.

The Razorock 400 whipped up some glorious lather this morning. I really like the P160 and I think it will always be a part of the den.

I loaded the used blade in the OC that I was having problems with and it was still a little tuggy even with the momentum. Binned that blade. Swapped the blade with a new one and much better.

How do the Hawks compare? Very similar to the Game Changer 0.84 SB and Jaws. The OC is a tad more efficient and the SB is a tad smoother. Going from the Game Changer to the Hawks is like going from a five foot rotary cutter to an eight foot cutter. It just covers more ground. The Hawks are just great razors. No complaints what so ever.

Just a hint of alum this morning. A good splash of Pinaud Clubman Aftershave Lotion and I am ready for today.

So was Joseph @Primotenore right? Was it the momentum or blade? I think it was a combination of the two. I am thankful for the knowledge, help and encouragement that this group provides each other. Y'all are the best.
