Thanks, but I will probably keep this one. If I let it go, then I really don't want another one. I could afford to thin down my safety razor collection.

Thin down a razor collection......is that not blasphemy on this thread? :D

Thanks Bruce! I'm not a big New Year's resolutions person either. I'd rather call it a lifestyle change (or more aptly a revisit of my 20s/30s/early to mid 40s).

Old school fun Joe! Love the mug! Have fun with the Christmas baking and activities.

    Cool setup Andrew! Nice image!

That is super shiny Gary! Love the effect on the brush handle.

Fun image Cliff! Big fan of the GSBs as well.

I've seen Tech razors with that handle labeled "Sportsman's Model" before. Was that something the sellers just created or have you seen that too?
    Great looking shave, Gary.

TRC seems to have shipped the SV to you quickly. I hope (and expect) they will rectify the error satisfactorily.
    Great looking shave, Blair!

SV's soaps are top notch imo Paul. Easy to lather, excellent slick thick performance, sophisticated fragrances. They are on the spendy side, but more than make up for it by being triple milled (super hard, like most bar soaps) and lasting a long while.

If and when I ever narrow down the soap manufacturer's list for my purchases, SV will be in the list for all time.

    Thank you, Gary!

Thank you, Danny! I waited a while before I tried Tabac. I should have tried it sooner! ;)

    Thank you, Danny!

Thank you, Joe! The Slim is a good shaver for me. I read your other posts about yours - I am sure Matt at RE will make it right. I've learned a lot from his videos and razor history info pages.

I wish I could find a way to block the glare that always shows up on my aftershave bottles.

Let it be known that it was ordered in 2020 so my No Buy will be intact for 2021. Same for the 30DC LE brush from Evan. Also any other 30DC paraphernalia is exempted from the No Buy.
The above statement can be amended at anytime to add further exemptions.

Time for me to make another attempt at a no buy so I'll join you for the 2021 one with the same exemptions. I do have multiple packages inbound in various Black Holes around the Country though.........

Great Slim shave, Andrew! My three year grandson uses his great-granpa’s Slim minus a blade to shave with me. We have one planned for Christmas morning! :)

That's a great experience with your grandson that he will always remember. Just think, he may be on TSD in about 15 years posting that you showed him how to shave. :)

    December 23

    A3 Gillette Red Tip
    Feather (4)
MrEE Danger handle w/30 mm Maggard's SHD two-band fan
    Tabac
Alum, Witch Hazel, USB, Almond Oil, CC Bay Rum & Aramis EdT

This has been my humble December focus gear, and my shaves have been enjoyable. I've migrated toward evening shaves every other day. I complete two passes and extra ATG touch-ups on my upper lip, chin bulb, and lower neck. My first pass is WTG on my cheeks and ATG on my lower neck. My second pass is mostly ATG with small areas of XTG on my upper lip, jawline, and chin. I face lather exclusively, and I usually go back to the puck a few times to get more soap as needed. Same with water...I'll wet the brush tips a time or two during the shave to rehydrate the lather. I use alum on the fingertips of my off-hand for better grip, and I stretch my skin at least 75% of the time. Skin-stretching kicks my shaves up a notch. Mos Def. My shaves are routinely near BBS; however, I notice a very small amount of irritation every time I use a Feather for four shaves. I've tried that a few times this month, and I'm convinced that Feathers are best if used no more than three times.

The Red Tip is a near-perfect TTO razor. Blade loading is a snap, and the size and balance of the razor just works for me. It would be an ideal razor to include in my travel kit. Thanks again to @Douglas Carey for this incredible razor.

The Danger brush has been a joy to use. The Maggard's SHD two-band knot is breaking in nicely, and the handle fits well in my hand. The bead blast handle finish makes it grippy even when covered in soap. The knot has super soft tips and just the right amount of backbone, and it may be the best knot in my Den. The brush is simply a winner in every respect once I got used to the longer load time required for a 30 mm knot. @MrEE is a master craftsman, and I'm fortunate to have this wonderful brush.

Tabac lather - wow. The more I work the soap with my brush, the more the lather explodes. It's simply the best performing soap I've ever used. I prefer a thick and cushiony lather. I don't have a good read on skin aftercare, however, as I follow my shaves with moisturizers. I seem to appreciate the scent more in the cooler months, but I will use it year-round. It complements the Bay Rum aftershave and Aramis EdT well in my humble opinion.

I'm halfway through the CC Bay Rum aftershave bottle. It's OK, but I've decided I won't be purchasing any more Bay Rum scented products. There are other scents that I like better. I think Alt-Innsbruck pairs just fine with Tabac...and I happen to have almost three bottles in my Den. :)

Well, that's my story. My Bride and I wish you and your families a very Merry Christmas. Grace and Peace.
