Good enabling, Blair :). I'll have a look at their offerings. I'll see if there's a good match for my Bill Neumann aftershaves that I'll be ordering soon.

    DEcember 21st and 23rd shaves
    21st
Canadian New Deluxe w Astra SS (2)
    TGN Finest/Maple
    A&E Asian Plum
    Thayers
    Shulton Old Spice AS

Life has gotten in the way lately! Anyway, have had 2 shaves with the New Deluxe beautifully plated in Gold by @MrEE . Evan is a master. While this one probably deserves to be plated in gold more so than the Goodwill, I cherish them both. I had found this shave a little rough to start, to be honest. Great results with great software but did decide to swap the blade out for the next shave.

    Today
Canadian New Deluxe w PermaSharp (1)
    Stirling Finest/Maple
    First Canadian Maximo Gomez
    Thayers
    JOHS Tobacco Bay AS

Loaded in a PermaSharp and roughness gone. While it is true that all blades work, I would say the Astra SS is not as smooth/sharp as most of my other Russian Gillettes. Was glad for the chance to try it, though. Today’s shave? A little jawline sandpaper short of Epic.

What a couple of days it has been. Feels like ‘life imitates art’ if this thread is art. Joe/Joe posted several days ago about the huge storm and dump of snow in the northeast and I pointed out that we were bone dry in the Rockies. Well, Monday night this happened-
    CA340A50-68AC-4696-8E28-7C4758F001F1.jpeg
10 inches overnight. (Sorry about the postcard shot, wife wanted a house pic with the snow).
Evan’s daughter getting into an accident and getting a new car? Yup, SWMBO went out to do errands the morning after this storm. She was stopped at a stop sign and a lady tried to turn right at too high a speed on the icy road and t-boned her. Stephanie is quite sore but will be ok. Her 2019 Sorrento might be a write off. Insurance evaluator will let us know in a few days. Hope it is actually.

Son’s 14th birthday today on top of everything. At least I was off work this week to deal with stuff.
Hopefully I’ll get a chance to read up on what’s happened on here soon.

    Have a great evening all!

Sorry to hear about the accident but so glad to hear Stephanie is ok. I'll bet the driver of the other car was a Californian.

    Happy Birthday to your teenager!

Your home is beautiful! A real Winter Wonderland!

Couple ideas mentioned already. Easy trick that you may have lying around. White poster board, maybe an 11x14ish size, propped or held outside of the lens’ view.

Incredible details for any shaver Charlie! Evan’s red handle and the red tip look great. Merry Christmas to you and Kathy!

Cool looking Kamisori, Blair! Are those holes in the blade? If so, you might want to put some Renaissance Wax in them! I assume it’s a symmetrical grind. Great shave! :)

SV does come across BSTs occasionally. I’ve gotten some of the SV Felce Aromatica (Fougère) after shaves on the cheap that way. I used the 10% off ‘give them your email’ coupon with The Razor Company, fwiw.

Like @jtspartan mentioned, it’s now retail for almost every vendor, once SV got an ‘official’ US website.

Price per shave is low though...I’ve had my SV FA for more than a year and a half, used likely 15 times, looks like new in the container. Can’t say that for ANY artisan produced soap I have.

Very nice shave setups and images Jason. Love your postcard image of your home! Lovely, matches what I expected from your 30dc images.

Extremely glad that the only issue is being sore from the T-bone accident your wife endured. Scary stuff.

    And....Happy Birthday to your son!

Thanks Jeff! Yes, those are holes purposely ground through the blade for the design.
