I'm glad to hear your wife will be ok after the wreck. I drive a Sorento and they are well made vehicles (and produced in West Point, GA).
    Happy Bday to your son!
Beautiful home and excellent photo of it. :happy088:
    Oh yeah, nice shaves, Jason.

The brush and razor look like a matching set. Nice!
Excellent read on the report, Charlie. I wish I had tried Tabac sooner. Since I've had it, I have been very impressed with its lather (well deserved reputation).

Thanks, Blair. I use poster board often, placing my gear on it for the photos. I use natural light, hence the glare from the windows. I'll try setting up the poster just outside the shot to block the glare.

The light source is the sun. ;)
The blinds are already closed on the windows usually for the photo, but I understand what you are suggesting.

Nice job on the shave, Jason. I stared at the New Deluxe for a couple days. Really nice razor. Glad to hear Stephanie is okay! I was impressed with Kia's performance in a crash. Of course a 6 year old Soul is easier to total but the adjuster said replacing the 6 airbags alone would be $12,000. They skipped repair estimates and went straight to the cash value appraisal just from my verbal description over the phone.

    Good luck my friend!

Based on the reflection, the light source is roughly behind your right shoulder, or slightly off that side.

Cell phone lenses don’t have shades, so the poster board might help, but it may also show in the reflection.

Another idea is to use a magnification factor of your camera app to get further away, keep the same aspect ratio of your setup, but move the reflection off the bottle.

    Hope that helps!

No need to apologize for the red meat. Ruminant animals, such as cows have less linoleic acid in them than animals such as chicken and pigs. One reason for this is the chicken and the pig are feed grains as a significant part of their diet, especially those residing in feed lots. Grain have a higher linoleic acid content. This results in a transference of the linoleic acid into the animal and eventually into the consumer. Yes, you are what you eat. More and more studies are showing a direct correlation between metabolic dysfunction and the levels of linoleic acid and persons diet. A major contributor in this is seed oils, which are in a majority of process foods. Approximately 30 years ago, McDonalds began using vegetable oils to cook their French fries replacing beef tallow.
Animals fats from beef tend to have a lower linoleic acid content and a much higher stearic acid content. Stearic acid has been found to have a positive effect on the mitochondria of the cells, thus improving ATP and the bodies ability to burn fat, especially visceral fat.
Just my two cents. So keep eating your beef products without any sense of remorse.

Thanks guys. I appreciate the good words.

Andrew, I lurked on B&B for some time when I started traditional shaving in 2012. The gents there introduced me to Tabac. I've liked it ever since. There was a lot of good-natured ribbing about it there too. It is some seriously good soap. I'm glad you found it. Seems like everyone who is not from Pennsylvania likes it. I've got a call into our Governor asking him to send @Dave in KY back to Pa to be with all his friends. :D
