    It has arrived! Just needs some hone on 10.000 grit and then stropping, tremendous sharp. This is exactly what I wanted to find as my earlier No.30 was broken some 25 years ago when I dropped it on the bathroom floor. Now it’s time to change the scales to my precious damaged ones ivory scales .
    Thanks my lovely father for the gift that I received on my 20th birthday.

    Thanks Gary. Not a fan of the plastic base on the SA, but I like the look of the diamond knurling. Plus, it was just a hair over 20 bucks shipped. So I figured why not?

    you may find it to be a favorite shaver..never owned a black beauty but if i got one it would be the late 60s shorter handled one..:)

    I received a 1973 Black beauty from a very generous @John Beeman two and a half years ago. I have found it to be a wonderful razor that will be staying in my home. Gary you should pick one up ..... anyone that like a great shave has one in their rotation.
