Vintage or modern Williams?

 

Had a bid on the set I missed on the bay so breaking out my last Tonsorial puck. Have 1 other Vintage but this my last Tonsorial cake.

 

Are the Tonsorial pucks different from the puck that I used?

 

Probably the same. They were in rolls of 8 for Barbers and are simply marked Tonsorial.

I've seen the Marvy soap pucks sold like that (I've never tried them though).

 

A little tall for the wood bowl so trimmed it down and you can see the 2 sides.

Had a Williams shave setup with the Fatboy and forgot I was to use the Cooper razor after the Bigelow & Parkin Travel razor as the head with hinge is similar. Had the CG come in on loan for a shave and threw me off. Picture was taken already so just threw the Cooper in for pass 3. The Williams just gives a slick lather that will rival even the best Elite Modern soaps and it has a scent that is hard to describe.................I guess the best way to describe it is........................Soap. That's the only reason I don't grab it as often as I should. Well that and I'm down to 2 vintage pucks. 3rd on it's way thru the USPS. Andrew @Droo78 gave me the nudge I needed to break out another puck after I had 3017 'd one not too long ago. Glad he did. Hope everyone has a great day !!!

Question for those that post here;
Do you guys get a nice thick lather or do you just get a usable lather? Pretty sure you can see what I get from my pictures, but that kind of lather isn't for everyone.
