As I said earlier, I always want my Throwback Thursday shaves to hit the top mark. This one didn't. Shux. It was more good than bad, but I missed a couple areas at N. Porcupine Alley. I like to be very careful up there, this morning I was TOO careful. S. Porcupine, most of Cactus Nation, and the cheeks/sideburns were all successsful(I say "most" of Cactus, as I skimmed over that rough area up North again). The "chipping" at the jawline could have been better. It's fascinating how much Gillette Foamy you can get from those "travel" cans(which I used this morning). And it comes out in a cloud chunk. I like cloud formations better than those of a squiggly snake. Mennen Skin-Bracer A.S. was a nice finish. Not sure that I will stick with same for tomorrow, but it will be another canned shave. Shavetime decision. But as for today, it was Most Excellent.

I still think @clint64 has the edge when it comes to his outdoor SOTD photos.

    Good morning guys!

    Straight Razor Shave #234

    10/8 Max Sprecher Half Hollow
    Catie's Bubbles Synthetic Brush
Stirling Christmas Eve SS and AS
    Dickenson's Unscented WH(not pictured)
    Nivea for Men ASB(not pictured)
    Whiskers 39 hours

Everything worked well. Got a nice super wet lather and only did 2 passes for a BBS - shave without any mishaps. Didn't do the extra half pass because I really didn't feel like chasing the baby. Placed the witch hazel and balm before applying the aftershave to finish this shave. Once again Max came through with a close, comfortable, smooth shave.
Have a great day guys! 20201224_090003.jpg

Oh no, there's that mountain again-the one I thought I recognized as having climbed twice. I was proved wrong, and thanks to our man from Colorado Springs my avatar has the correct one. But I'm too old to go for the trifecta on that baby.

Great Tech shave and good morning, Gary! What’s that Lea AS like? Is it a strong persistent scent? Spicy? Leathery? Barbershoppy? You can see that my CT fits my scent sophistication! ;)

thank you Jeff.i would describe it as a warm citrus/sandalwood.it is mild and doesn't last very long.not bright or brassy/bold/sharp/ acrid like some citrus scents can be..

Thank you Jeff....by the way I just came from the bathroom where I shaved off the area of N.Porcupine Alley that I missed. Did so with the razor ALONE(no soap, no water).
