Broke my Aeropress this morning. Ahh, after the novelty of it wore off, it was not all that great anyway. I will miss my turbo coffee though. I had been brewing a pot of coffee, and using that to press a cup with the Aeropress.

 

I was gonna ask you about your Aeropress a few days ago, but you hadn't been on in awhile.................


but you're on now, so.....how's your Aeropress? :rofl

what part broke? every piece of it can be replaced very easily, and not too expensive, I believe

 

The main chamber shattered. My wife threw a chair at me, and I already had the AP in my hand, so I hurled it at her with reckless abandonment. She moves fast for a mother of three!! The AP hit the wall and died.

ugh...

wife just got a message from an online class with hundreds of students.

Something along the lines of "I only received 2 term papers from this class. So I am assuming that there is a technical glitch in the system. However, unless you have a screen shot showing that you submitted your paper in time, you will receive a zero and I will not accept a late paper."

Yeah... my wife is ready to throw chairs as well... For the record, yes, she submitted the paper in time, I was sitting next to her when it was sent in and I saw the confirmation message that the paper was uploaded successfully. And yes, the prof has her as a zero on the paper (worth 24% of class grade).

 

My wife is just lucky the pinball I am working on is 1.5 hours East. Oh, and SNOW!!!

We lost the filter cap part of our home Aeropress, probably accidentally tossed it with the grounds in our pre-coffee haze. Anyway, called up Aerobe, I think it was something like $3 per part, and $4 flat rate shipping or something like that, so I picked up a spare, and a stir rod. Seemed friendly. Decent customer service.

So, I am finally back after a bout of food poisoning. Not the best diet plan, but you can't argue with results.

 

That is ridiculous. Who takes screenshots of things like that?

Is Professor on crack?!? That's absolutely insane.

I don't know if I misheard things in my anger, or if there was a simple math error during my wife's panic... However, the term paper is worth 1/24th of the grade.. a little more than 4%. Still doesn't excuse that professor...

I am kicking myself because I almost told her to make a screenshot knowing how much of a terror that prof has been. So I am mad at myself for not making the suggestion. My wife is mad at herself because she almost went ahead and made a screenshot on her own as well. Of course then there is now the anger that there were a lot of holiday things that we didn't do as a family the last few weeks so that she could get her paper written.

Well, she has written a letter to the prof stating the times and dates of when things were accomplished including the time/date that the paper was turned in and included a PDF attachment of the document. At this point it is just wait to see what the prof does.

The good news is that she didn't find out about this debacle until after she got home from taking her biology final. So at least her biology final went well.

 

Well... I have been having problems with my bluetooth mouse this morning at work. It has been having erratically. No matter how much I pull the mouse right, it stays on the left edge of the screen. So I spent 10 minutes trying to adjust the drivers on the laptop before I realized...... ʇɥǝ ɯonsǝ ʍɐs ndsıpǝ poʍu


yup... today isn't shaping up much better than yesterday. Maybe I need to change my avatar...
