The ride home from work yesterday was interesting to say the least. 4-6 inches up north when I grew up wasn't a big deal to deal with. Down south here on winding mountain back roads with people unfamiliar with how to drive in this type of weather is treacherous. After some fishtailing and counter-steering up hills and around curves with sheer drop-offs I arrived home again fishtailing my way up my steep driveway. After the blood and color had returned to my white knuckles I was able to open a couple packages that arrived. Here's the view out my Kitchen window this morning.

My "White Whale" the Type F Injector was delivered and after a disinfecting it was up to bat this morning. I was a little nervous on some saying it is not known to be a great shaver. I found it more then adequate and my worries were set aside. Not as aggressive as my G Injector but with some attention to it got a great shave. I'm really happy with adding this to the den and if I can't polish it to the luster I want, I may send it out to get the brass replated in gold. My only conclusion of others unsatisfactory shaves is they were not happy with it when considering what they paid for it as it is rare and commands a premium when available. I fortunately got it for a very reasonable price although more than a typical Injector.

Fuzzyface Soaps Monkey Farts is a fun soap with a sweet scent for sure but I still enjoyit for what it is, a "Fun" soap. Description is from the site:
We know you are expecting to read a disgusting description, but this unique complex fragrance is anything but disgusting! This unique fragrance begins with top notes of fresh bananas and juicy grapefruit, middle notes of kiwi, juicy bubblegum, and strawberries; and a hint of vanilla as a base note.

For a novelty type soap this is a good quality Tallow & Shea Butter soap that gave an easy thick creamy lather and takes water well without breaking down easily. I topped everything off with the best Lime Aftershave out there vintage or modern as far as I'm concerned. Avon Island Lime. It played well with the sweetness of the soap. Such a cool Mike Martinez smiling blade. Love it every time it gets whisker duty! Top gear with everything else of course. Cool Baccarat handle, and made even better with the knot swap. Merry Christmas Keith to you and yours!

Driving in the fluffy stuff is lots of fun if you’re the only driver around. But so many others have no clue like everyone’s mentioned or unfortunately been involved in. It’s nerve racking to say the least being wary of the inexperienced. I’ve watched wrecks happen just feet away.

Gorgeous image out your windows. Looks like a postcard almost all the time I bet!

Such a cool setup Dave. Glad you got the ‘white whale’ razor. I’m guessing it’s rare because of the handle material? Fun shaving soap, sounds like a cool fragrance blend.

Just to answer @Hembree question. My uncle thought that vintage old spice set was the coolest thing . I'm sure he will be getting some good use out of it.

Thanks Blair, I believe very few were made either due to material or work focus elsewhere being around the time of the War. I forget exactly but know they are hard to come by. I just like the look and the fact that it's all metal. Have a GREAT day !

The Smart Helix is the next Decadent December razor. Beautifully executed tool. They are made without the use of a CNC. Each top cap is individually fitted to its baseplate(s). Wonderful craftsmanship. Available with a .5 Mild and/or a .85 Aggressive. I used the Aggressive plate this morning. Fair amount of blade feel yet still smooth. A most excellent shave! Three passes for near BBS. Nearly silent alum.

First use of First Line Shave A Christmas Shave. Lovely scent and terrific performance. It's probably more of a croap than a soap, soft and sticky in the tub. I scooped some out and smeared it into the bottom of my bowl. Pretty thirsty stuff. At first I thought I didn't use enough soap but the lather kept building with the introduction of more and more water.

Are the pieces of the SH cast or forged? Definitely labor intensive either way with the final steps and polishing. Polish looks to quite well done.
