Always wanted to shave with a Medieval Battle Axe......or.......yet another fun shave hatchet

. Next best thing is this J3Customs craftsmanship, purchased back in August, set aside for today's shave.
As with any first outing of a new shave toy....wanted absolute predictable products for the preparation. BAUME.BE, about a teaspoon smeared in the bottom of my shave bowl, lathered wonderfully with the BSSW Hybrid Badger knot. A literal cloud thick lather, slick and awesome. 3.5 pass shave today, one silly slight weeper under the nose, that same raskily hair follicle that won't go away...just a slight distraction though, no extra care needed. Passes were WTG, XTG, XTG (opposite X's leg), and a direct ATG on the lower right neck/jawline with the skin tightly stretched. Razor was used straight from the packaging.....no stropping, Needs a little stropping love I think, not quite the extra keen along the entire smiling edge, but didn't distract or raise any disappointment, just firmed the brain for a solid TTT shave to a nice DFS+ overall. Fun razor. Slathering of my favorite after shave gel for skin care, PAA's Star Jelly. Finished with a healthy spritzing of YSL's EdP, La Nuit De L'homme Le Parfum, described as an Oriental Fougère aroma, my nose gets a darker side of fougère, with a lot of fruit and spice.
Frangratica's notes: Top notes are Pepper, Anise and Bergamot; middle notes are Fruity Notes, Lavender and French Labdanum; base notes are Vanille, Patchouli and Vetyver.
Merry Christmas to those celebrating, and to everyone else, hope your Friday is nothing but Fantastic!
