so far, I'm liking it. Not a whole lot different functionally than 10, but the tab stacking is pretty cool, it's faster than Chrome on my machine, and I'm hopeful that XMarks will be made available for it....just gotta wait and see. LastPass is available as an extension, and LastPass now owns XMarks, sooooo.....

I've been using Chrome almost exclusively at home for a few weeks now, because it does actually run faster on my home desktop (first machine it's actually fulfilled it's claim of speed on for me).
Opera is mopping the floor with it.

I'm still trying to break away for Firefox, and you know I'm gonna hafta to try FF4 when it comes out.

    So far, so good

Using Opera 10.6 at the moment. Opera claims there is an update - but it also recommends updating through the OS. The OS doesn't see an Opera update. Now that a full Opera browser is on Android, I have been using it on the phone. It is painfully slow, but.. .there are websites that will work under Opera that won't work under the default browser. In order to have things show up on Opera Links on the phone, I have been using Opera on the computer. Now, if the adblocking worked as well on Opera and it worked at faster than a slow crawl....

I am still amused that a Google Android phone won't run Google chrome... But then again, it won't run firefox either....

I've never had any trouble with adblocking on opera. You're not the first I've heard complain about that, but for me it's always worked spectacularly. As far as slow... Opera has always been one of the faster browsers for me. Funny how one man's trash, etc.

Off the top of my head, I think the only ads that have been popping up since I switched to 10.6 is when I am watching a video blog on ustream...

I just put 11 on my work laptop (running Win 7 Pro) - works nice and fast. So there is no speed issue here. My only computers with speed issues are ones where I am running off a flash drive, a cell phone, and Linux mint. I haven't tried it in Ubuntu, as I don't have anything running straight Ubuntu at the moment.

I forgot that I had Opera set up to automatically update, so I'm now running 11--whether I wanted to or not!

Actually, I like the clean look of it so far.

yeah, mine at home automatically updated. For some reason, that one is doing the tabs at the top, like Chrome, but all my other installs have them between the menu bar and web page....hmmmm

    but I am digging it.

and Justin, yeah I'm kinda surprised there's no Chrome browser for the Android phones. I'm also slightly surprised, but not totally, that they didn't change the Chrome OS name to Android Desktop or something, and have the whole unified ecosystem thing like Apple - NOT that I'm in favor of Apple's fruit-alitarian (hehe, I made a pun) system, but for those users that want a one-OS-fits-all-my-crap system, it would make sense.

Not that Chrome and Android aren't going to do that, but it just surprises me they're keeping separate names, especially with how well (surprisingly, to me at least) tablets are doing (gotta give Apple some credit there, dangit), it seems that the Chrome OS and Android for tablets are going to be somewhat overlapping in that sector.

Meh, that wording is kinda muddly, but hopefully you get what I'm saying, or trying to say, or whatever

I have discovered the joys of non- IE browsers. I'm using Firefox and it works so much better! TSD displays a little differently, but not significantly so.

The ironic thing is that my msn mail acct. loads faster and works better on Firefox than on IE. :D

Yesterday, I rummaged around behind my truck seat, looking for a cd of anti-Christmas music. Found the case, but the disc is missing. Crap. I know this seems out of the blue, but it will be relevant, later.

Last night TWGW and I went grocery shopping. We keep a couple of giant carabiners in the console of her car for carrying in a bunch of grocery bags at one time. I had the console open digging around for the clips. This too is relevant.

This morning, I got in my truck to go to work, and my seat was out of adjustment. It was sitting straight up, and I'm the kind of guy who drives laying down. "Oh well, must have not noticed it yesterday when I drove home." Adjusted my seat and went about my day.

Got home this afternoon, and TWGW told me she was looking in the car for something and noticed that I had left the insurance cards out of the console.

That wasn't right. I put everything back in. So, I went out to her car and popped open the console. There's some stuff missing. 2 FM modulators and the power cord for our Garmin are gone! Huh... the stack of cds scattered about the car is still here. The Garmin is hiding under the seat, but the power cord is still gone.

Some little turd broke into my cars last night and stole our fm modulators and the power cord for my garmin. I guess I should be thankful that my taste in music is so bad that they didn't take my tunes, too.

So here's to the jackass that stole my power cords, may they have a merry Christmas. :(
