I'm pretty sure that is an E3. It has the side flaps on the spring and parallel grooves on the guard bar. Also, Type G would say Eversharp Schick.

I would agree. However, the handle is usually Bakelite. Also, my E3 doesn't have the 2nd patent no. Looking at the schick history, the second patent no. is listed for types D and G, but not E.

However, it all depends if Danny can slide the flap to open the head to change the razor and if the handle is plastic or metal.

Tuesday shave and monty wrap up:

Fresh of the stones my Filarmonica 13 was sharp and smooth. Unfortunately I didn't have any extra time or I would have gone for the WTG wrap up pass. Still an excellent shave.

For the Frag Heads today's juice is Serge Lutens Musc Koublaï Khän. A favorite of mine and certainly a controversial perfume and not for any occasion.

Wrap Up: This month I tested changing the order of my passes with the goal of the last pass being a WTG pass.

First, going ATG for the first pass is a no-no, well no surprise here.

Starting with a WTG or WTG2 pass feels uncomfortable but in the end the shaves were slightly smoother on average and slightly more irritation than average. I was surprised that irritation level was as low it was despite the discomfort of the first pass.

Standard 4 passes with a 5th WTG pass yielded slightly closer shaves on average with similar levels of irritation. Basically it slightly increased the probability that I would achieve an epic shave.

Going forward it will be a standard 4 pass and whenI have time and the 'need' to go for it I will add a 5th pass. If time does not allow I will start with ATG and finish with WTG.

I was always told mine was a "G" and it doesn't have a round ferrule but does say Eversharp. I think it was called the 66 Razor but I can't tell all these models apart......

    Tuesday December 29,2020
Razor: Carbon Cx .68 (Original) Plate
    Blade: Wizamet (3)
    Brush: Sorrentino Cocobolo/Cashmere
Soap: Lakewood Sweet Orange Chili Pepper
    AS 1: Humphrey's Alcoholado Maravilla 70
    AS 2: Nivea Deep Comfort
    Fragrance: BVLGARI Aqva Amara

So due to a request I decided to slip in the Original Plate today which is a .68 gap but that is deceiving as this if I understand correctly is the most aggressive plate and has the most blade exposure. I have to be honest that the different plates have come out in a odd order and I feel it's all over the map and very confusing for anyone that is looking to buy one. VERY thankful for the pass a round to try them all. The problem is that blade gap is NOT the only thing to consider but everyone gets fixated on it. This is a perfect example as this .68 gap I imagine has more blade exposure because it had more blade feel for sure over the .88 (+) Plate. Still the wtg and xtg passes were still smooth and comfortable. When it came to the atg pass the flex of the blade was more pronounced and made for a rough feeling pass. This is precisely why I prefer a design where the blade is clamped closer to the cutting edge of the blade. I got an extremely close shave and the face feels great much like yesterdays which yielded a long lasting shave result. Still between this and the .88 (+) Plate I lean towards the (+) Plate for the balance between comfort and efficiency. On to the (++) 1.08 tomorrow. The 1508.5 of the Sweet Orange Chili Pepper continued today also but back to soap variety/choice tomorrow also. Have a Stupendous day !!
