The Starling V2 was meant for Christmas, but it arrived late. Who says Christmas is over? I call on my Shave Den Time Machine.....I smell Fruitcake.

This will be the first shave with the Starling. It's super-light. Barely heavier than a feather. I bet this will provide very detailed control.

***EDIT - 2 passes, very minor clean up. BBS. Although, when going against the grain on my left cheek during pass-2, I noticed tugging. The blade might've been losing some cutting ability quickly. I had a somewhat similar problem with my other GEM razor (GEM 1912 travel), but after learning the correct angle and pressure, the blade stopped getting dulled during the shave. I suppose when any significant blade exposure is at play with a GEM single-edge, it's likely that if your blade angle choices are wrong, you'll mess up the edge and force a blade change long before it should need one.

Bowl Lather.
Tesco's Ceramic 'Cosmo' Side Bowl.
Lather : Geo F. Trumper Violet Shave Cream.
Blade: Mers ~ Supershave X 'Snapped in 1/2'. (3)
Razor: Yaqi Katana.

Post:
Cold Water Face Rinse./Homemade (~Winter mix~) peppermint Lavender, +eucalyptus, Tea Tree Oil Witch Hazel Mixture./ Geoffrey Beene ~ Grey Flannel ASL./Aloe Vera Gel.

The G F. Trumper Violet shaving cream is a very good shaving cream I really like it's unique scent only a small amount is needed to create a excellent lather for the full shave leaving a superb post shave feel.
A enjoyable 3 pass + pick ups close comfortable / near BBS shave with no errors to report...Finishing to the shave off with a small dollop of Aloe Vera Gel.

My face is feeling super smooth & smelling divine.
