Another beautiful start to the day. I decided to bust out the shave stick. The Stache Soapworks E Barber is a nice subtle barbershop scent. I did my usual three passes with the shavette to receive a very close and comfortable shave. I will bin the blade as this was it’s 5th shave.
Another early morning we will be out the door for some fun in the sun.

Interesting details Dave. Does Carbon give guidance for the plates from least aggressive to most? I would think they’d not want the confusion. Of course, if the ambiguity results in more sales, that’s a different strategy altogether. Look forward to more...

First shave with the Dscosmetics ZO head on the Ladder handle.

The Yaqi Mysterious Space two band badger did quick work of the Soap Commander.

Loaded a fresh Astra in the razor and completed three passes. This head reminds me a lot of an R41 shave. I really like it but I don't think I would make it a daily driver. It is a very efficient head with some blade feel. The razor is definitely a keeper. The razor weighs in at 4.5 ounces....a full ounce heavier than the Hawk V3.

Dscosmetics did contact me about the crack in the handle and offered me a $6.00 refund. I'll take it. The crack is barely noticeable with the naked eye and you really have to hunt for it. I'll post some pictures of it on their page with a little review.

Finished the shave with some Pinaud Clubman Aftershave Lotion.

Great to see you dropping in Patrick! Definitely a busy week for you. So glad it’s nothing more for your Mom! VW turbo issues....been there with a 2008 Passat. No more VWs for us. This was the 4th & had a curse on it. Working on it with your daughter, that’s good times for both of you though! Great setup for your nephew, he’s got a great mentor! He’ll love the MAYhem lessons I’m sure .
