  1. Great shave, with a gorgeous razor, Blair! For my own learning, what did you touch it up with? I used my Naniwa 12k on my smiling blade Saito SK3 and ended with a great edge. Some final plush on the jasper stone didn’t hurt.
  2. Too many fail to realize this Joseph and is a good point. If a product is inexpensive it's a synthetic oud for scent. Some use a minute amount of real with mostly synthetic and claim it's real dishonestly too.

  3. Mad Max great shave Joe! I am a big believer of very warm water shaving, for me the results are better than when using cold water, both in face feel as well as quality smooth results.

Super setup with the A&E, Aristocrat Gary, loving that green theme!
  4. @Hembree O.K. gentlemen....y'all are going to have to put the Chubbys up for a while. They are starting to speak to me. :D

  7. Thanks Blair! I agree with you that warm/hot water gives better results. The reason why I used cold water is to minimize irritation. I guess with my much improved technique that I can use hot water without worrying about irritation.

  9. I use a Shapton 12k Ceramic, followed by a wood paddle strop setup. Each paddle has 2 sides, a 3 inch by 8 inch piece of leather. Each leather piece (a total of 4) is coated with different grit diamond pastes. Starts with 14k, then 50k, then 100k, finishing with 200k. Overkill? I don't know, but ~5 minutes with this setup results in nice mirror polished, smooth keen edges for my shaving style.

  20. I believe Wholly Kaw's description is straight on point:

    Scent Profile:

Oud – Originating from Southeast Asia and South Asia, Oud is rare and widely sought after in traditional perfumes. Natural Oud is said to cost more than its weight in gold. We used a blend of essential oils, aroma chemicals and resins to create an interpretation of Oud. King of Oud combines the freshness of Bergamot and scents of Rose and Pink Pepper sitting on a bed of Oud, Patchouli and Vetiver for a fragrance that is both fresh and richly aromatic.
