    Yes the dates are 1855, 1866, 1867.

I also have a pair of Johan Engström (I believe the precursor of ssa eskilstuna). The are store in a big box. I still have to clean and hone them.

    Dates are 1876, 1878, 1881, 1889

Those could be really nice razors! Where do you live? It seems that the razors from Eskilstuna Sweden where exported around the globe.

Here you can find a registration of knife manufacturers in Eskilstuna, all of them didn’t make razors of course. Sadly there is no information about SSA.

I found out right now that Jernbolaget didn’t make razors themselves! They bought in the razors from other manufacturers in Eskilstuna...

I live in the Netherlands. But I got this pair from France. I also have a likewise box with two talisman (peroux-cognet) framebacks. I also have to clean and hone them.

I didn't do a big study on Engström. Just browsed and spent too much time on the internet.
    I found information here http://www.strazors.com/index.php?id=11&doc=johan_engstrom_eskilstuna_

On the archive section a lot of nice restored razors can be found with history links to the makers.

Yesterday, Filly 14, cream was the Egyptian Tamara and a splash of SMN lavender finished up. Curious story, I was on Amazon buying some unrelated stuff and saw that they had one Tamara shaving cream left, a 2-pack for $12.99 delivered, and it is supposed to be decent, so why not? TL;DR, it is decent, but maybe not worth the price, Ach Brito Lavanda and La Toja as examples gives you more for about the same. Of course in Egypt it’s about a dollar a tube.

The packaging was curious. It states that it ‘expires’ 3 years after production, and a stick-on label on the box says that it expires on 04-05-23. Hoever, if you carefully peel this sticker back, the box is stamped 4/20/96, as is the crimp on the tube. But hey, it’s really only 21 years past the expiration date, what could go wrong? Well, not much really. It looked fine, the scent was just generic soap, and not ‘off’ or foul. Consistency was a little stiff, but sometimes the first bit up near the (unsealed) cap can be on many tube creams. And as others have noted, the menthol was not there at all. Performance was excellent. The straight razor has enough slickness and the lather built and held up well. Post shave was what you’d expect from a low end cream, decent but nothing to write home about.

New Year’s eve, a CVH MK 32, soap was La Toja stick pressed into a tub, and the AS was also La Toja, this one a typical patchouli and powder barbershop scent.
