It's finals week :sad023

 

Yeah... I think my family is responsible for the tissue outage. We are still fighting this mess and it has been over a month. Lots and lots of tissues, medicines, doctors bills... and now the stores are out of tissue.

Oh... and you have to love doctor's offices that expect you to wait outside in freezing weather wearing a mask until they page you with their little restaurant pager to tell you that your quarantined room is ready. And then everyone upon leaving takes their masks off and heads to the same pharmacies and stores and infect each other...

 

It appears you're either a bunch of wimps, or I made a bad choice in picking this week. Well, just stick around 6 more days and we'll have a totally new week to explore.

 

Totally frustrated. TWGW's favorite sites aren't loading properly, but enough other sites on the web are working okay that it'd be awkward to call the ISP. I really don't think my ISP is to blame for the weirdness we're experiencing, but she doesn't understand that. I'm half chalking it up to the weather and half chalking it up to Facebook and zynga having crappy service on a regular basis. I will note, however, that the den is a little hit and miss. What do you guys think? Call the phone company, or wait it out? I suspect that the 3 inches of snow on the ground might have something to do with our problems.

edit: cut the modem off for a 30 count, and scraped a little ice off the line going into the house... all seems to be working smoothly now.

Weird.

Yeah... its odd that Micah has more snow on the ground than we do by us. Actually, if it weren't for a sputtering of lake affect the other day, there wouldn't be any snow here at all.

Just discovered Spartacus Blood and Sand season 1 recently became available for streaming on Netflix. I can't even remember the last full episode of regular TV I've watched... oh yeah, star trek the next generation--today at lunch, and then I turned netflix back on. Man of Lamancha, the story of Terry Gilliam's failed attempt to make a Don Quixote movie. It was like watching a trainwreck in slow motion. My heart bleeds for that man.

 

Just got "the call"-- tomorrow is another snow day. happy108:happy108

 

Today was spectacular. Took the day off because my brother was coming into town. Missed him for Xmas because he was away for work. Well was doing some shredding and going through old mail. It turns out I own about $2500 worth of stock I knew nothing about from an old employer. After that, went and had a nice lunch with the brother and he gave me a .45 pistol.

I think I should take more Mondays off from work.

 

Back to school for me this week

I'm torn on this game, as an Alabama fan, I'm supposed to enjoy seeing Auburn lose.
As an SEC fan, I'm supposed to want the SEC team to win.
As a NE Texan, I'm supposed to be wanting LaMicheal James to do well

Ultimately, I want SEC to continue dominating the National Championship, so War Eagle!
