Nice shave, Jim! It is part of the fun to adjust your technique to the razor. Depending on the grind of my straight razor of choice, I have to do the same thing. Fortunately, it's only my Mad Max and my near wedge Wosty that applies.
Thanks Dave! That was my second shave using that one blade and it worked nicely. I was a little skeptical at first about these blades at $7.95 (Canadian dollars) for 100 blades but darn it I think these will do the trick nicely! I have only Wilkinson Sword blades to compare them too but I think think the Shaverboys are pretty much in the same mild category. I didn't get cut or neck irritation so that's a plus!
It appears my Stoylin order will arrive before the Bill Neumann. Why. Doc Ezlovan announced just last night(after I put in the order just a few hours earlier)that the shipping process had begun! The family Neumann(and that's what they are, a family spanning an entire century)doesn't work on week-ends and holidays.
I also will not commit this year. 2018 was my last NB year! Maybe next year! I do plan on PIF’ing several of my safety razors to deserving newbies as I see fit.

Well I can't say the same. I shave 5 days a week and that totals approximately 265 shaves. Of course, that doesn't count my solo headshaves.
