    Dang it, Dave! That Yates sure looks pretty! I don’t need another new safety razor!!! I don’t need another new safety razor!!! I don’t need another new safety razor!!! Ehh, just for informational purposes, how does the machine polished version Yates offers compare to the hand polished version you have! Mind you, this is purely just for informational purposes! I don’t need another safety razor!! :drool:

    And that is what makes this fun ... we can enjoy the differences. I have only recently started using aftershaves. I still have to remind myself that I have AS, and find myself using it only a couple of times a week.

    Okay for informational purposes and only for those, I don't know as I bought the stonewash before polished was available. Their polished is an electro polish so no change it geometry. Jim @jluc has an electro polished and honestly they looked pretty good to me. Keep in mind at leaat right now they have only been selling complete razors with the M plate and if you want the H you have to add it. Again that was merely for informational purposes.

    I have one shave left on my December gear, and then I'll begin my January rule. I will continue moving toward a few favorite soaps and fragrances and optimizing my two+ pass shaves this year. I plan to shave every day or two and replace the blade after three shaves.

    Razor: Gillette NEW SC
    Blade: Feather DE
    Brush: JR # 160 Louisville Slugger handle w/Omega 10098 boar knot
    Soap: Tabac
    Post: Alum, Thayers Witch Hazel, Unrefined shea butter, Almond oil, Captain's Choice Bay Rum aftershave, and Aramis EdT

    I look forward to sharing the new year with my friends here. May we all continue to encourage and learn from one another.
