Thank you Joe. With its matte finish the handle is not slippery at all. I grip the razor in the middle with know issues.

 

Ha! We did go to Disneyland in Anaheim 4 years ago... No sausage balls there, but a metric tonne of Churros.... Hopefully that will be good enough for you to not call Social Services on us...

 

Those soaps just turned nasty. Good idea keeping the containers.

Jan 1, 2021 New Year's Day Evening Shave!

Good evening guys! Happy New Year and hopefully the nightmare of 2020 will be behind us!
It's been 31 hours since Mad Max shaved me and I still look socially acceptable, but it isn't right to have my first shave of 2021 on the second day of the year. Besides, I am bored! Lol!

I simply am amazed at my new lathering technique. It is quicker and easier than the traditional way. Again, I decided to use hot water to shave. I dip the brush in the hot water and wet my face a few times. I don't shake the brush, and just start loading it. Yes, I get a froth on the tips and just lather it on my face. Go back to the puck and reload and relather and dipping the tips of the brush in the water. It really gives me a fast, creamy, lick lather. Now, it is thinner than what most shavers would like, but the performance is so great that the razor just glides on my face. The combo of the hot water and this new lathering technique gave me an easy 2 pass (no touchups) BBS shave. This is with 9 shaves on the blade. The blade felt smooth as butter. I know that I am repeating myself, but I truly believe that I converted into a hot water shaver. By the way, no red liquid or irritation appeared. Slapped on the witch hazel, the balm and the lovely Bay Rum aftershave to finish this epic shave. Tomorrow will be a no shave day. Have a great evening guys!

I will join you and @Dave in KY in using the same soap every other day starting on January 3rd. My focus this year is to reduce the den by at least 5 soap containers by the end of 2021. I have had a NB on soaps since June of 2020.

 

It's great when we find a technique that just works for us. Happy New Year, Joe.

 

Oh my....that is Awesomely Purdy! But a no go for me. I love my SS polished and Black polished Supply v2 versions....but have had thoughts on BST'ing the Black one.
