Wow, my Bill Neumann aftershaves are set to make the shipping trip up here. They're based in Williamsburg, VA...a lovely town with some Industrial history. Been there a few times during my Washington DC life.

Good shave, Paul. Sometimes one pass is all you need. I don't have Barbasol, but I sometimes use Neutrogena brushless cream. It works pretty good, so it often goes in my travel kit with a Trac II. Talkin' about the power of scents...I took the Neutrogena on a trip to Israel. The first night we stayed in Tel Aviv. Every time I smell Neutrogena, it reminds me of the first morning of that trip.

What's up for today? My Bride will be watching basketball at noon, and then we're heading off to a local state park for a walk with some friends. I've already been out this morning at 0630 for a mail and drug store run. I'm home now on cup # 3. :eatdrink013:

You'll get a kick out of this. I started a new Bible reading plan this year. It was developed by Robert Murray M'Cheyne, a Scottish Minister who lived in the early 1800s. That makes him a contemporary of Edouard Pinaud.

That’s a bummer Dave. Nice report and image! If the item had the purchase protection option, it could be a resolution process if you felt inclined to pursue it.

Great looking shave combination Jeff, nice outing on the bike! Hopefully the ribs continue getting better so the rides are more enjoyable.

    3P Almond Shaving Soap~~dubl duck #4~~2011 Mühle R41/Gillette Platinum
Learned a LOT from yesterday's shave, but first, since the 3P Almond Shaving Soap isn't all that well-known,
    I decided to list the
    ingredients:
    Screen Shot 2021-01-02 at 07.10.53.png
As you can see, this is a non-tallow soap, one of the very few in my den.
The coconut oil tends to dry my skin, but admittedly, it's an excellent vehicle in saponification.

I eschewed...yes, Charlie, eschewed, the Aesop SS bowl in favor of a face lather.
The soap went on quite thick and the dd #4 required multiple dips in the H2O to
    sufficiently hydrate. Goal achieved.
Now, I was particularly focused on NOT repeating strokes over non-protected skin.
Keeping the pressure at the absolute lightest, I was quite successful avoiding all bloodshed.
    Lesson learned. :happy088:
Finished the shave with the same procedure as last shave:
    Witch Hazel de-soaping of skin.
Small dollop of Stirling Unscented Glacial ASB.
And the FOTD© (pending), I chose an amazing clone.
    The Man Silver by Milton-Lloyd.
It is a clone of the below-pictured vintage YSL Kouros, which is an aromatic fougère
    and a real powerhouse.
The clone costs about $11 and replicates the original amazingly.
The house is worth checking out fellow FragHeads.

I like this one so much, I just order a bottle of their Perfumer's Choice Mojo,
which is a clone of Tom Ford Oud Wood.
(yes...I know there is no actual Oud in the clone...)

Happy New Years! First shave of the year was with my Type G injector, and the soap I’ve been trying to finish since last February, A Jeeves of Hudson Street 8oz jar. I finally saw the bottom of the tub today. I grew a goatee a few months ago, (short version, broke three bones in my leg and foot trying to do tricks on my BMX bike, and couldn’t stand at the sink for very long.)

My shave goal for this year is to not buy any software and try and use up what I have. I did that last year and am down to 24 soaps now. I’d also like to get my razor collection down to a small rotation of really good stuff.

I’ll try and check in more this year too. Hope everyone is doing well.
