Thanks Joseph. All in good fun, of course.

It's fun to look at things through the eyes of someone else. Even though we're not fond of them, "glue dots" are apparently a big thing for some hobby crafters.

I've got a friend who is a very skilled baker. She showed me her stash of Feather DE blades. She uses them to cut designs into the tops of her rolls and pastries. She thought it was interesting when I explained that the blades were used primarily for shaving.

I decided to wear my Terre d'Hermès Parfum for the first time in a long while today. It is quite a nice break from Aramis, and it definitely has a more modern vibe. Two sprays to the chest from my six-year-old bottle this morning, and I'm still catching whiffs. It has the SWMBOSOAPublic Domain Use, and she assured me that I didn't apply too much. I'm not skilled at picking out individual notes, but I would describe it as a smoky orange peel with a bit of depth. It seems to wear close to the chest. This one is likely a repurchase. I'll be curious to read about your impressions when you receive your bottle.

A very enjoyable shave this afternoon. I've been getting up and working on verious projects before showering and I don't really like shaving at night. I had about 3 days of growth.

I did a full 3 pass shave just because that's what was needed with the amount of growth. I've been expiramenting with a slanted angle on my XTG pass to get into the depressions on my chin and face. Its certainly a more advanced move but seems to work really well. I would call the shave DFS but the flat areas of my face are BBS smooth. Feels really nice.

Thanks Dave. I pair the TDH with Fine L'Orange Noir AS.

I picked out TDH based on visits to department stores where I will check out all the different juices and snag an occasional free sample (Jack Benny shopping mode). When you guys speak of vetiver, oud, patchouli, and all these other scents, I truly wouldn't know one from another by their actual name. I'm sure I've run across them all over the years. It seems like 7 out of 10 scents in department stores around here are "aqua" or "sport" scents. I've had a couple of the aquas, but they smell light and cheap to me. The sport scents are fairly stout...I figure they're supposed to cover up BO after a good workout. :)

I ventured into a Walgreens a couple of years ago and checked out all the classic aftershaves. Everytime I cracked open a bottle, I got a whiff of a scent that took me back to my childhood or teenage years. It reminded me of being with my Dad, uncles, and their buddies. I wouldn't consider purchasing a single one of them. (Tabac is tame compared to some of these, IMO.) If I did, my Bride would run me out of the house.

First shave of 2021 is nice, Evan. The Dovo is a beautiful razor.

Excellent shave Evan! I don't know if you saw my Mad Max video a few weeks ago, but I used an oblique angle with the toe facing the floor as I went ATG on my neck and jawline on my 1/2 pass. Using a straight like a slant can be more efficient on certain areas of the beard. Happy New Year!

She's OK with the scented products I use, Joe, but she did not like Clubman. She was with me when I checked out all the classic aftershaves. An immediate ban was placed on them all. :)

Great pic and write up, Joseph. Went to the Milton Lloyd site- how can you tell what the scent is a dupe of?

Very nice, Andrew. Is that Merkur an Old Type clone? Kind of looks like one. Great choice with the Cool...maybe it will get some of the mosquitoes to come back.:)

Hmmm....looks like the odds of that razor sticking around are improving. I’d guess 70/30, Clint? Especially with the cool matching brush.:)
