yeah, same here. it's also why it took me so long to get used to Firefox, and why I dread getting used to FF4, or Opera if they ever get Xmarks and LastPass. Still, it's getting to where I'm coming into contact more frequently with Mac, so I figure I need to get familiar with it, as much as I'd rather not
I have seen macs take up more of a market share than they have had before. But im still with my trusy PC. I have thought about getting the ff4 beta but not sure if i want to try it yet. Back on topic today was a pretty nice relaxing day. Did a sociological study requirement and had some leftover thai food while reading some posts in the shave school. after that i went to the gym for some exercise and had a great time and ran into a old friend from grade school who i haven't seen for probably 10+ years.
Helped TWGW get some new products listed on her etsy shop, did a little browsing and posting on flickr, and just had a pretty good roast beast sandwich. We got our taxes filed a couple of nights ago, and am eagerly awaiting a sizable return. Got a kitty curled up in my lap, and a roof over my head, life is feeling pretty good today.
just updated to FF4 on my laptop, and now found an "Add-on" bar option...didn't see it on my work machine yesterday, adds the bar back at the bottom, but no status section, but there's an addon that does that, Status-4-Evar, or something like that, about to give it a try Edit: Ooh! Found addon Pixl Grabber to replace ScreenGrab! Starting to get comfortable with it.
would you recommend FF4? i have been using 3 since it came out. And doesnt Win7 come with a program called snip it? for taking pictures?
oh sweet, had not heard of that yet, that's pretty cool, though a pain to find. still, the built in extension is quicker, being in-browser like that, and this machine I'm on is the only Win7 I currently use. FF4 has been very stable, and quite speedy, so yeah, I don't have any reason to say wait, unless your favorite/critical extensions aren't ready yet
ok i just downloaded it and am going to install the beta momentary. Sorry its called "snipping tool" i just type it in my search bar. Got somewhat confused because i use a program called SnagIt. I just had a shower tonight and my face is so smooth. I used some Gillette aftershave balm. it was too thick and icky but i rinsed some of it off and my face feels soo smooth. I just need to thin it out with a little as or something.
I installed FF4 last week in my office, and installed firefox mobile on my Android phone. I love the sync features. I can bookmark something in my office, and pull it up later on my phone. Seems slower than chrome to me, but that could just be due to network traffic.
Somehow I never mentioned a couple B-Day gifts the Whovians here will appreciate. Remember the scarf the 11th Doctor wore briefly in the last Christmas episode? While, my wife knitted one just like it for me. Also, my mom sent me this.
I installed firefox mobile on my Droid awhile back, but haven't used it much, it seemed fine, though a bit slower, but a lot of discussion online says there a lot of problems. I mainly use Opera mobile on my phone.
Does anyone know if FF4 is designed for broadband connections? I remember with the older versions of Firefox (Including 3.x) I've had to change some of the configs to get it up to speed. From what I read, FF was made according to dial-up specs and until you tweak some of the settings, you don't get nearly as much speed out of it.
I'm a fan old and new. My family wasn't at all into sci-fi as a kid, so I didn't learn about DW until college and didn't really get into it until the new series came out. Now, I'll rent old episodes at the library fairly often and have the DVR set to record all the new episodes. Now, I just wish BBC America or Syfy would replay old series episodes.
