At least today is not Monday. I don't think I can take another day like yesterday. The LEA was just the ticket for this morning. Three passes and touch ups ended in a near BBS shave. I missed a spot on my left neck. I hope everyone has a great Tuesday.

Nice tutorial and lather video Joe!

ToBS sandalwood....great flash back aroma Patrick, awesome lathering. Totally get the maintenance frustrations, 3 oil changes and now some some transmission cooling system work going on here. Then it’s brakes and rotors coming up soon.

Some cool acquisitions coming up soon with those decisions Keith!

Sid! Funny guy. Nice looking combination today Dave!

I am ready for day 2 of the virtual learning extravaganza this week. Hopefully, we will be back in the building on Monday. Not that I mind being at home getting the opportunity for a few extra z’s , however, this is not beneficial to the “Yutes”. :eatdrink013:

This morning’s shave was absolutely fabulous. I love the pairing of the soap and splash. The Puma 65, an acquisition from Glen, @gssixgun, is such a fine razor. It easily delivered a smooth and comfortable three pass shave.
The B & M Reserve Spice provided the icing on the cake. I am refreshed and ready for approximately 5 + hours staring at my laptop. Oh happy joy joy.

    Have a great day gentlemen.

    Fine L'Orange Noir~~Simpson 57 "Douglas"~~Pre-War US Gillette Tech/Gillette Platinum~~Terre d'Hermès Parfum
I warned everyone that should I receive my Simpson 57 and my Terre d'Hermès parfum,

I would temporarily suspend my rule for one shave.
First the soap. I was able to score a couple pucks of Fine L'Orange Noir, before they sold out.
(Previous den members were American Blend and Lavender. AB was sold and the Lavender resides with my future son-in-law)
Tallow Baby makes a HUUUUUUUUUGGGGGGEEE difference in slickness. More on that later.
The soap is triple-milled, so a short, shower-length bloom was in order.
I had an ulterior motive for the bloom. I am using a really nice badger brush
and it's important (to me, anyway) not to stress the knot with dry soap.
"Douglas" loaded with ease and in tandem with my Aesop bowl, created a lovely, luscious lather.

Next, I used my Pre-War Tech with a new Gillette Platinum blade.
    In
retrospect, I should have stuck with the R41 for a more accurate comparison.
    Lesson learned.
Ultra slick and easy passes and no fear of buffing. The blade simply skated across the skin.
Moved to the ATG neck pass, and while I can still tell that it is not completely recovered from the
last three shaves, the difference was remarkable.
No pressure, no "skipping", no issues.
    Very happy with the results.
Finished with my usual routine and today's FOTD© was the Terre d'Hermes Parfum.

Not quite sure why I chose to go with the Parfum, but I did read that the scent was slightly "darker"
and longevity was better. C'est la vie. :)

Great shave and a great cup of coffee to start the day.

Yes....we have a ghost (that is what I call it) razor in the den. I ordered this one before Thanksgiving and it finally arrived yesterday. A Yaqi with a cobbled head which looks identical to the Maggard's V3A that I have. It has a brass handle and the threads were a little rough so I chased the threads with a tap.....smooth now.

Awesome lather and the ghost is a very efficient razor. Three passes with just a hint of alum. Matching aftershave and I am ready for today.

Gary @brit has throwed the gauntlet down with a week long challenge. I think this will be a fun little focus and look forward to starting it this Sunday. I have a pretty little Tech with the triangle slots that will be nice to play with for a week. Thanks Gary....I look forward to playing along.

Take care gentlemen and have a great Tuesday!
