Thank you Dave for clarifying. I will be using the 1508.5 method starting on Friday after I Complete my ECWS Top Five of 2020.

 

I've stuck to my Single Soap Focus (SSF) so far this month and have continued using the Stirling Electric Sheep for each shave. It has proven to be an excellent soap with slick lather that is stable and easy to create regardless of the brush chosen for the day. The last 4 shaves have been with the same razor and aftershave (only changing the brush and blade).

The shaves have been smooth, comfortable, efficient and without irritation or mishaps. I continue to ride the cap in order to find the most efficient cutting angle and have stuck to my 2+ pass routine (extra "+" pass is used going over the goatee area to ensure smoothness). The Gillette razor has performed well and the Proraso aftershave does a great job finishing off the shaves. The last two days have also included a few final spritzes of a favorite EdT: Guerlain Vetiver.

I last posted a shave report on Sunday, so below are the shaves for Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.

I do....upon first sniffs they are rather cool/cold, probably due to the shipping weather. I bet they'll warm up now, though. Excited to get going with them!

Yes, you did mention you like it. I'll definitely let you know my thoughts(course along with the rest of 30DC). I wanted the 1911 over the 1907-thought the scent combo sounded better, and of course I wasn't sure about the "citrus" persuasion.(relative to my health, that is).

 

I’ll find out on Monday, Joe, but honestly whatever comes out is fine by me! I was diagnosed with clear cell chondrosarcoma in 2014, an extremely malignant and aggressive, quite rare form of bone cancer. The docs at that point told me I had at best six - eight months. I told ‘em to pound sand and headed south to the #1 expert in my diagnosis for a second opinion. All I had to do was consent to be a research subject. After 11 hrs of surgery at MD Anderson in Houston that year, the loss of three ribs, the bottom lobe of my left lung and a third of my diaphragm, I've been cancer free. So, as far as I’m concerned, the six years since have been a gift of grace. Since that time I’ve remarried and had three more grandchildren and a great-grandchild. I’m content with whatever comes out!

He actually already has the Slim in his den, but will be returning it to me this Saturday in time for the Gillette week of dome shaves.
