Great shaves Jeff and I love your thoughts on the gear. This shaving thing was figured out years ago for sure but a nice, heavy stainless steel modern razor is a fun shave as well. Take care.

Still a decent shave and I hope you get the soap figured out.

Thanks Clint. I think the Trafalgar is a stand out in the synthetic world. Take care.

    Thanks, Gary! :eatdrink047:

Thank you, Joe! I'm Bruce, but call me anything you like. Except late for dinner. ;)

Thank you, Jim! Congrats on entering the home stretch towards retirement!

Thank you, Charlie! I'm not sure where they all came from. I think they've multiplied somehow.

    Thank you very much, Andrew!

Thanks Clint! It matches the CG better than I initially thought, especially when I showed you the images right after doing the patina. Go figure...
Still considering doing yours, or leaving it alone?

Thank you, Jeff! Hopefully it'll hold up better than the previous finish (a urethane, I think.) Every so often, it'll probably require another small application. No biggie.

The brush looks fantastic. I will likely do mine when I get a chance. My wife even gave me two vintage shave brushes to restore. I am just so busy right now, I don't know when I will get caught up enough to feel like doing anything but just getting through the day.

    Tabac soap
Alum, Witch hazel, USB, Almond oil, CC Bay Rum AS & Aramis EdT

    January Rule Shave # 2

A nice two+ pass shave on two days of growth with near-BBS results. I still need a couple of shaves to dial in the SC, but I'll get there. I finished with enough smelly juice to raise undue concern in a crowded public space. It almost guarantees social distancing, so I have that going for me. I recently began using witch hazel in the morning and evening when I wash my face. I think it helps with the condition of my skin.

We're on the downhill side of the week, gentlemen. Enjoy your day. Grace and Peace.

Thank you, Blair! Neither turned out as envisioned, yet it's ok...I still like' em.
Right after the forced patina on the brush handle, it had almost a pewter-like hue...more grey than brown. Initially, it didn't appear it was going to be even a little close to matching. How and why it ended up shifting to a close match is beyond me. :signs002:
