That's what stopped my NB 18...an artisan company I really liked suddenly quit. And in that line I made ANOTHER mistake in not re-purchasing the soap of theirs I loved-went for a different one and ended up not liking it. Well that was three LOOOONG years ago.

Thanks Gary! I am new to Feather blades and using them in a shavette has been a very good experience. I also realize that they get rough pretty quickly. I like the shaves it gives, but getting a few shaves with an expensive blade is very cost prohibitive. Now, I could change my mind using my remaining blades in DE razors, but I doubt it.

Stoylin's Creed Adventus clone is Xecutive Man, I believe. But in my court of law it was beaten out by, interestingly, ANOTHER Creed clone-Sandpiper.

Very nice shave Joe. Is there a rule somewhere that states “No Posting of Head Shaves for You”

i have never tried feathers as my early astra green and gsb purchases did the job just fine.have only played with other russian gillettes for the most part..all are similar and work well for me..however,i may try the Kai blades..they are slightly wider and are said to give better blade exposure on mild tech like razors..a future experiment maybe..:)

Thank you Danny. I picked up the soap early in 2020 before my NB of soaps began in June. It has been very hard to resist with all the soaps posted around here. So far my willpower has won out.

Paul, there's no shame in getting the items you want and can afford. Mostly using what you have and minimizing purchases should eventually get you to the same place as a NB. NBs are admirable, but "new beginnings" can start anytime, not just on Jan. 1.

As long as you're happy, I'm happy for you. :)

Great results! I don’t see any issues with the change.

Very nice results and continuation of your soap focus Andrew!

The paint cracking is likely caused by the moisture getting to the wood either around the knot ring, or through the base of the knot itself. The expansion/contraction of wood plus temperature & humidity changes causes the thick coating to fail (that doesn’t expand/contract). Same thing happens with oil paintings on canvas or wood over time. Even happens with coated papers. Is the handle always stored brush down? This might help keep it from getting worse.

    Thank you Joe! Sincerely appreciated!

Thanks so much Joe! Cella has a great lineup.

Super nice combination and results Joe!
