I see @jgreenepa and I had similar thoughts for razors (just not to shave the same locations) My Vector was on loan for a bit and is now back. Difficulty getting the blade off the cap is being handled by Shane who gives amazing customer service. Placed another Proline in as I just miss the shaves too much not to use it while waiting for the replacement top cap. I got a smooth and close shave that has me in total comfort, Aaaaahhh. Gary, I can vouch for Feather blades in Tech razors. I always found Techs to be relatively mild shavers, but the efficiency improves dramatically with a Kai blade. I also found Feather blades improve the shave as well. The issue with Feathers as Joe (@Trigger) noted is that they dull quickly. I never use a Feather more than twice! Not the case with Kai blades, although my overall policy is to bin every blade after two shaves. The only safety razors this is not true for are my Shake Sharps which are SEs that use DE blades, so I routinely get 4 uses out of a DE, two per side. I guess the same could hold true if I bothered to track which side of a DE razor I use, but I don’t bother.

Joe, could you clarify for me exactly what you mean by “an above the shoulder shave”? Aren’t all shaves thus??

I have approx 11 tucks of Rockwells. I get great shaves with them, but will not repurchase them. I probably will go with Astra blades. Feathers are fine, but 3 shaves/blade doesn't make sense to me.

I did give my definition. Headshave and faceshave are separate and ATS is inclusive of both shaves. I don't daily shave my head that is why I make the ATS designation.
