Don't forget your boots. They say a cowboy does everything in his boots. I bet the ladies you meet on isle 12 love them. :D

Are you talking about the Tuxedo knot that is in the original 30DC LE, Charlie? If so, it is in there with silicone and not epoxy. If you cinch the knot in a vise and use some persuasion, it should give. Just be careful to not put too much pressure on the wood as it may crack at the top. If you are talking about a different brush (and don't care about keeping the knot), I have found drilling down through the middle of the knot is the easiest first step in removing one. That makes it way easier to chip away the rest of the knot.
Steaming is only a necessity if you plan on keeping the knot and it is epoxied.
Or, you could just ask me for another handle...

Edit- I think I misread your post...If you are looking to harvest a boar, then get one from a plastic Omega handle. Much easier to remove than from a wooden one. Steer clear of a Semogue- they are 'fanned' at the bottom of the knot and don't come out worth a crap, imho.

Note on the smell of the shave cream I am using which is Taconic bay rum pump cream. It smells like toothpaste and mixed with aloe vera gel it even looks like it. If the blade survives it's next shave it will be legal to drink.

    Thanks Jason.

No, the LE brushes you made are perfect. I wouldn't change a thing on either of them.

I'll grab a plastic-handled Omega to harvest the knot based on your feedback and everyone else's. It sounds pretty simple, even for a guy with a pocket protector. :) Thanks also for calling out the potential problem with Semogues as I had considered one of them briefly. Much appreciated.
