You are good for approx. 30 years if you shave every day and bin blades every 3 days. I will be looking down from Heaven as you completely use up your stock. Unless you pif or sell them.

    Den reduction story...

Tonight, my daughter asked me what was in the box sitting on my bedroom floor. I told her it was full of shave soaps that I plan to PIF or trade. She then started to take each soap and evaluate the scents. I explained how I had been taking a look at my shave den inventory and wanted to reduce the soap collection to a much smaller size and only use those that I really love.

In my inventory spreadsheet, I have categorized the soaps into 3 different levels. Tier 1 soaps are those that will form the backbone of the collection and will be repurchased when needed. Right now, there are 10 soaps and 5 creams in that category. Tier 2 soaps are those that I enjoy and will still use until they are finished, however will not likely repurchase. Tier 3 soaps are those that I feel would be better off in another home.

As Isabella smelled each soap in Tier 1 and then Tier 2, she separated them into piles that she liked and disliked. In the end, she asked if she could have the ones she liked and I said absolutely! Then I showed her once again how easy it is for her to efficiently bowl lather a soap that she could use. In the end, she chose 14 soaps. She does not like using the Lady Gillette DE razor I gave her, so I explained that her cartridge razors will most likely work even better with these soaps than they do with the brushless EOS shave cream she uses now. The brush that I gave her a while ago will now go back into her bathroom...

So, even though these 14 soaps will still be in my house, they will not be counted as part of my collection - and THAT is den reduction as far as I am concerned. :D

That's awesome, Andrew. Not only did you reduce your Den, you made Isabella happy. Sounds like a win-win!

Extra points for prioritizing your inventory in a spreadsheet. dude.gif
