How did I get into this soup?

 

You would raise eyebrows if you said to someone that I shaved with clown puke today. Anyway, beautiful shave and setup Dave!

 

Aaaah, she was just a customer. By the time I figured out what had just happened, she was up doing her business with the teller. Big Shux. Guess I'd better go back to the Supermarket Babes. This doesn't mean I am ruling out another possible "story" from the bank.

Well, an awkward beginning to my shave this morning turned out all right in the end. I didn't provide enough lather for the first pass, especially in the sensitive areas at NW and NE Porcupine Alley(the "mustache area"). Almost at the beginning, I said to myself "Boy, you're gonna need that second pass". But that's happened with many of my shaves. 0:40 to load the Stoylin brush("No-Name), but then an additional 0:10 for the second pass. One harmless Knick-must have occurred during Pass #1. I was back in form for the second. More lather to work with. Sure makes the difference.. I covered all areas I'd previously missed or gone over too lightly. I should have done better at N. Cactus Nation, though. Too much focus on other areas of Cactus that I felt needed improvement caused the issue at N. Cactus. Good dosing of Pinaud Clubman Special Reserve to finish it off. I feel lucky to give this one a Very Excellent.

 

). I'll have to be like the late Glen Campbell, who was "Bankin offa the Northeast Winds......." But it's all about the line Dean Martin sings in his Everybody Loves Somebody Sometime.. which is "There's No Tellin Where Love May Appear".

However...I did create my best lather to-date.
Superbly shiny; positively protective and gorgeously goopy.

That's right. And...for the right amount of money, Primo can teach you how to make this luscious lather.​

@jimjo1031 you can see how the dd brush needs some touch-up work.
New Gillette Platinum blade in the...yes, same procedure as yesterday...2011 Mühle (with umlaut) R41.
Split the difference between "riding the cap" and riding the safety bar.
Opted for the oblique-angle pass along the neck and was rewarded with nothing negative.
Inspired by @Dave in KY , who, for some reason believes he can weasel his way into becoming one of my beneficiaries,


I reached for my bottle of vintage Aqua Velva. I have been eschewing @wristwatchb in favor of
EdT's as of late, so it was a nice change of pace to splash on the AV. ​

Super smooth Saturday shave, Joseph! The DD#4 brush is a beauty! By the way, I am also an Aqua Velvet man!

 

What turned me on to Clubman was when the barber slapped the Clubman talc after a neck shave. Unfortunately, I will never experience it again.

The MrEE brush really made an excellent, creamy, slick lather. Of course, I used my unorthodox lathering method to do so. 2.5 passes gave me a near BBS shave without any problems. I thought I made a weep on my stache so I hit it with the pen and there was a little sting, but I guess it was much ado about nothing. I broke my record of having 11 shaves on a Personna Hairshaper blade. However, I binned it. I reloaded my shavette with a new Feather 1/2 DE blade. I can't wait to use it after this weeks Gillette focus. Getting back to the shave. Applied the WH, ASB and then a double splash of of the matching aftershave to top off the shave. You have to love it when a plan comes together. Even if its not the original plan. Way to go Andrew.
