@Dave in KY. Dave, I finally saw the video and you did a fine job shaving with it. Personally, if I have to work hard to get a smooth shave, then I would pass on a razor or plate.

Excellent pic, review, gear and shave Chris. I also have an E4 Fatboy, but I used my G1 Fatboy for the last 2 shaves. I will be using the Tabac stick anf my 1955 Red Tip tomorrow. I was born in 55 so this razor has special significance to me.

Thanks Myles! Crazy last few days with a whirlwind trip for some family business in South Louisiana.

Thanks Clint! Amazing how the right mix of perfectly cooked crackly crust bread can taste so awesome with just Cajun spiced fried shrimp, mayo, lettuce, tomato and pickle.

Thanks Joe! It was 4 days of nearly non stop family work, driving and such. Did get 2 hours Sunday with a life long friend, and his wife. Deer & chicken gumbo (@Hembree ). No images, but it was a sight. 5 gallon pot, out in the back yard (for just 4 of us). Neighbors were playing with their 4 wheelers on the other side of the fence (on a dirt track they have built up). Yup, middle of nowhere Cajun country...

They were plenty yummy! Thanks Andrew!

Thanks Joe! It’s good stuff definitely. Beignets and Cafe Au Lait from Community Coffee w/chicory is tough to beat. Coffee Call if in Baton Rouge, or Cafe Du Monde if in New Orleans. Anything else is a good copy ;).

Oh.....even saw a Piggly Wiggly Express (!). But tough to grab an image while passing by at 70mph on narrow 2 lane roads.

I've been doing this for several years before I learned just today there's a thread about it here at TSD
I use the same razor every day - General by Colonial. I received mine on Dec. 23 2016. Exception: I love my straight razors and have never been tempted to use a SR every day, but I do like to use them periodically whenever the mood strikes me.
I use the same blades (Kai Captain Original and Schick P-30) one brand every day for one month before I switch to the other brand
I use my soaps anywhere from 30 to 45 days at a time
I use only one aftershave splash. Same every day, and have been that for at least 5 years - Superior 70 Mentholated, with added menthol and 444 ASB
Sometimes, but not always, I like to use the same brush from day to day. This is because I have several favorites
I don't care for scents, so I don't ever use them in my shaving process. There might be an occasion that warrants a splash of something or other, but rarely.[/QUOTE]
Good to see you here, Gary! It’s not SMF, but it’s a great group! Join the party! :)
