Those comics always kind of creep me out, because I read that one guy in my voice. EVERY. TIME.

Thanks Micah, I badly needed a laugh today :rofl

(I didn't, however, need to mop the floor; but I guess it's better than cleaning/drying my keyboard)

Ugh... I hate stop signs at the top of a hill on an icy day. Got stuck for 20 minutes when the people in front couldn't get traction to go up the hill and a rapidly growing line of cars behind us. All the hot exhaust just made the slope worse and it took forever to be able to drive backwards to a point to where I could turn around. You would think the idiots behind would realize what we were trying to do and not keep driving up our arse while we were trying to have a controlled backwards slide to a turn around point. idiots....

As a Texan, 2/3 of what you just said might as well have been Greek.*

    *I don't speak Greek.

and having lived in Wisconsin, I do understand.*

*I don't speak Greek either, but I can read a little bit of Koinos Greek.

Thing that used to irritate me the most was how, in very snowy and icy weather, bigger, heavier cars/ trucks/ and esp. 18 wheelers would blaze past packs of smaller vehicles without a care in the world. I got spun out by the backdraft of an 18 wheeler this way. I don't miss the snow and ice.

True.. . small cars have a tendency to spin off the road. However, 18 wheelers have a tendency to overturn and take out 4 lanes of traffic at one time. Currently two highways through town closed for that reason. stupid ice

had a couple of classmates in college would sometimes randomly shout in the middle of Greek "Yay for Koine'!"

    he thought he was funny.....

and the hits just keep comin'....$91 (that I don't have) later, I'm the proud (?) owner of a new battery for my car.

    yay me.

I'm probably gonna regret this, but right about now I say "life" and suck my butt

Walked in the door this morning to be hit with a computer that boots, bluescreens, and reboots... Finally got it to stop long enough for me to read... unmountable volume... ugh.

Then, there's that trojan virus that keeps popping up on those three computers... it keeps coming back like clockwork. Malwarebytes, MSE, Spybot, and SuperAntiSpyware don't seem to be able to find the dang thing... I've got another computer that has suddenly decided to crap out on printing first thing in the mornings--go reset the print spooler, and all is well. It's an easy fix, but an annoying thing to have to keep doing.

    My day isn't starting right.

On an up note, I got some more bird pictures posted on my flickr account last night, if anyone's interested.

You'll appreciate this- I wasn't driving a small car at the time. It was a GMC Sonoma, a light truck. The catch is that we bought it in Louisiana so it had rear wheel drive. Most of the time I drove it with an empty bed and I didn't know to put sandbags over the wheel wells.

We moved to a small town in southwestern WI (Mineral Point, just south of Dodgeville, a.k.a. Lands End) and I asked the junior warden of the church if I needed snow tires. He wife walks over and asks in reply, "well, do you wanna drive anywhere?" Turns out I didn't actually need them. He told me about sandbags and that did the trick.

    He wasn't? I woulda giggled.

Well blastr.com is out... doesn't update nearly enough for my tastes... I guess it's back to trudging through io9's horrible layout.

it was funny the first 2 or 3 times, after that it kinda lost its humor.
At first it was for really difficult-to-grasp concepts of Greek, or things that were just backwards from what we're used to in English, so it was kind of a sarcastic "yay", but after a while it was just random.

yeah, I saw about that a few weeks ago, hadn't heard that it had finally come to fruition...need to check that catalogs, may not need to keep Netflix....HA! just kidding, my wife has finally learned how to use Netflix on the Wii, she'd murdalize if I took it away all the sudden :shocked003

EDIT: hmmm, the thought just occurred to me - the rumors awhile back of Amazon developing it's own Android tablet hardware...veddy, veddy intweeging - books, videos, music, shopping......
