So I got an early start this morning. Changing my sleep cycle to about the time I would be up by basic training (5AM) It's not too bad as expected (usually I struggle waking up early, one of my weaknesses) So long as I try to get to sleep early, around 7 PM. Didn't actually fall asleep till probably 9 PM as I usually toss and turn awhile. thankfully, that was plenty of sleep for me. I was gonna save my shave for today but I ended up giving in yesterday as my Proraso "Gino" set arrived. the Pre-shave in the set is going to be put to some good use especially during the cold and flue season. That menthol is intense but I love it. It also came the the proraso green shave "cream" as opposed to the soap. Personally, now that I have tried the cream now, I think the cream is better IMO. It can take a lot more water and keep a good lather consistency as opposed to the shave soap. If I end up adding too much water to the soap it ends up being too runny. I was going to do a cross grain pass with the tuck away around the neck area but my brain decided to go full auto pilot on me and I ended up shaving against the grain. I didn't realize this until I saw the weepers. ended up with a pretty nice close shave except some irritation around my neck, no biggie though. I do ATG on second pass as a rule . By then the hair is considerably shorter and less chance of getting irritated. Great report Myles and enjoy the Proraso!!

Definitely Myles . On both sides of my neck by Adam's apple the hair grows in a circular pattern. It's real fun shaving that area.

Great details and shave Myles. Proraso SC in the tube is good stuff. I’m a big believer in a solid 8-9 hours sleep...like a great shave, makes the day start better!
