According to mr-Razor it’s a New RFB. They were made in sets and individually from 1928-1941 according to Mr-Razor.

Mine’s fourth from the left.:) I thought it was a New SC as well until a local club Gillette guru gave this pic and told me I had a New RFB. You will note that a flat bar is included. Who knows? It shaves great! :)

Art of Shaving - Oud Shaving Cream & Cologne Intense - Oud Suede
    Jason's '19 30dc w/Omega Boar
    Drew Dick Damascus 7/8
    Zingari Man ASB Unscented

@jtspartan's handle and the Omega boar......finished off a cream today, the last ~2 teaspoons of AoS Oud are history. Incredible aromatic lather made, albeit a little thick for the first WTG pass, a few drops of water & reswirled for the second XTG pass made for perfection. Nice comfy knot this has turned into, splays nicely with little pressure, covers a cheek with cloud like bliss whether shave cream or shave soap. One last relather for the 3rd opposite XTG pass, toe down for the neck and baby smooth results, zero release of the crimson liquid. Gotta point out that the growth was more today than usual, even noticed by wifey this morning. Seems the results yesterday from the Gillette Slim & Nacette blade were deceiving, felt smooth after the shave, but the extra sandpaper all over this morning was proof enough for me that open edge blades give better results. Couple squirts of Zingari Man's unscented after shave balm followed by the matching Oud Suede 'Cologne Intense' and I'm ready for a Thursday.

Hope everyone has a terrific day!

Sweet-looking razor, Blair! Now I only know this because my son is an amateur bladesmith with his own forge, but is that a Sanmai Damascus? In other words is the edge based steel forge welded to the Damascus? Or does the layered steel continue right to the edge? :)

Oh boy.....good luck with that! If it's any consolation, at least it's at a gas station and not at a mile marker!

    Thank you Gary!

Thanks Jeff! This example from Drew Dick is layered steel edge to edge. It's more apparent on the opposite side, but still faint to the eye to see the layers. The dramatic line is the result of a polishing effect, combined with how the blade was cut to show the layers (at an angle).

    Sincerely appreciated Jim!

4th from the left is a New LC. #1,2 and 12 are RFB baseplates.they were made that way in order to accommodate the 2 piece handles.RFB razors were only made in England or for French market..they descend from the rothbart mond razor.
