  1. it's already starting off that way, PTL

I hear ya on the "whoop and holler and yellin'" preachers, it's more a distraction to me than a benefit, if it's their SOP. If it's a preacher that just about never does it, it can be a emphatic point, but too many overdo it for whatever reason.
My pastor just about never does, and in my talks with him, he never intends to or plans to do it.
  2. This guy is out of Florida, and it's not so much that he's a yeller, as he's emphatic. He's one of those guys that gets quite for emphasis, rather than yelling for emphasis. I can't explain it, but it's effective.

    Now, on to another topic

    All you Firefoxalytes, I've got a user running firefox and suddenly today, when she tries to print an email from gmail, everything is printing out a l l s t r e t c h e d o u t i n s t e a d of n o r m a l a l l i g n m e n t.

Stuff prints fine everywhere else, just gmail messages when you click the "print all" button. Checked that her settings were either set to shrink to page or 100%, either way, it does the same thing. Any thoughts?
  3. try from Chrome or IE. I have to use one of those when I print bank statements because FF doesn't always print them correctly. So far it's the only thing that I have difficulty printing from FF (haven't tried from FF4 yet, though).

I'm going to go out on a (short) limb (very short, like a nub) and say this is a very new issue :D.
Tech Support Question 1) is it plugged in? :happy097
Tech Support Question 2) have you restarted?
Tech Support Question 3) has anything changed with FF? updated, new version?
  4. Any experience with Hiren's boot cd?
  5. nope. I downloaded it many moons ago, but have never used it

    any luck with those virii?
  6. Well, after putting sophos on one of the machines, it hasn't popped up a message that the virus is there... even after running an initial scan, it doesn't show to be there. The other two machines seems to be spotting it periodically and self cleaning... I'm thinking I want to hit them with the hiren's disk and see if it spots anything.

Scanned all the user folders on the server, and it turned up nothing.

This is what greeted me when I stepped out my front door this morning.
  10. sore throat. :(
  11. Okay, so I found this really great, open-source media player/organizer. It's called Jaangle. It has a lot of great potential--not too much bloat, not too many needless features, and it's spry on my computer. It has plenty of customization, and it's just a generally pretty good player. I thought I might even replace mediamonkey with it on account of it's free...

but there's one thing that just irks me about it:

I can't browse/sort my music by folder?!? Why do so many media player/organizer programs insist on forcing you into a tag-based system? I don't mind tags, and in some cases they're quite handy, but only when your files are healthily tagged. It seems to me that a basic directory view shouldn't be that difficult to implement. Am I arcane or some sort of luddite because I keep my music sorted in directories?

    edit:
aaaaaaaaand now I have just discovered 1by1 music player. Ahhhh, that's better.

  12. Uh oh - get better. Sometimes, if my throat is really killing me, I gargle wit salt water and through in bit of vinegar - It tastes really bad but it helps really good.

    get some rest!
  13. Thanks, Bill! I'm drinking mint tea for my throat.

The salt and vinegar thing would make me look exactly like this; :sick007
  14. Morning everyone!

I am exhausted and falling asleep at my computer this morning. If it weren't for the fact that I am running late, I would go back to bed. 6 hours of sleep just don't seem to cut it any more.

    Anyone see Jason lately?
  15. I've been intending to post that question several times the past couple of weeks, and it's usually about the time I'm thinking about it I see him post something on facebook and that somehow registers in my mind that I've seen him online...nevermind the the fact that it wasn't here in the Den....

my brain, I tell ya...it's really messed up. I want a new one.

Seriously, I think I'm due for some new memory sticks, an upgrade processor, and higher res video card......and I wouldn't mind a slim form factor case instead of the humongous one I'm built in right now....

  17. Have you slipped through a wormhole and into my lastweek?
  18. I wouldn't have minded if you hadn't. Shared, that is.

But since you did I feel the need to retaliate.
