Real good shave this morning. Came back with Sir Hare Alpha soap&Stoylin Gentleman A.S. 0:40 at the loading dock with the Stoylin "li'l brudder" brush. Worked up a decent lather. Good facial and neck coverage. Both "cheek&sideburn" sides are clear. Both sides of N.Porcupine Alley didn't go as well, yet I got both edges. I fix up the sides tomorrow. Jawline and Cactus Nation came out fine. 2 passes. No Knicks or cuts. I'm focusing on getting the water warmer(if not HOTTER)than I had it before. Due to the weirdness of N. Porcupine Alley, I'll have to reduce it to Super Duper Excellent. But y'know...reducing it to that ain't bad at all :). Have a nice day, gentleman.

Thank you Joseph.....Trying the "real" razors has always been a work in progress for me-let's see if I am more in concert with this one than others.

Oh wow....If I had a barrel of deodorants(or ANY shave product for that matter,)it would have to live in my living room. Gimme a barrel of that size but containing Rise Superfoams :).

Just in case anyone is wondering "Hey, what's goin on with his Bill Neumanns?"....I'll be trying the other one(1907) at the end of this week. Not on Throwback Thursday, but with that name it's a pretty good candidate for future TT's :).

I used to sell coatings chemically close to fingernail polish by the barrel.

The recipients of these industrial products where required to ‘triple wash a technically empty container and crush flat to make suitable for landfill.

Maximum size 1/2 fl. oz bottles of nail polish designed to leave 10%+ unused product inside are always tossed in the garbage without regulation on the cumulative effect.

Don’t tell any of our friends from the Philly area but when the Schuylkill River crested at 14’ in 1999 a huge number of partial barrels of similar products from a certain now defunct coatings manufacturer situated on said river were never seen or heard from again. Ooops.

A beautiful Sunday morning with blue skies here on LI. Just a wee bit windy. :Animatedfrozensmily:
It will be a relaxing day of making sauce which will consist of ribs, meatballs and sausages for the pasta this evening. Naturally, I will make some more Italian bread. Of course, there will be wings for this afternoon’s football game.

This morning’s shave featured the return to straight razor shaving. The W&B easily took care of business with a three pass shave. The WSP BAV soap is a great scent and easily builds into a fabulous lather. I will be finishing up a sample this sample within it’s next two shaves. This sample will have provided 15 wonderful shaves, excellent longevity for a sample. would I purchase this soap again, most definitely! However, my NB for soaps needs to allow me to reduce the den much further.
The Libertalia A/S finished of the shave that wholeheartedly received SWMBO’s approval.
    Happy Sunday gentlemen.

I think 60 shaves on a straight before a refresh is the average. It truly depends on the honer, the steel, the beard, shaving and stropping technique. I would say 90 would be pushing it. Eric from Adventures in Wetshaving has over 60 shaves on his Herder Ace of Spades razor that he finished on an Imperial La Rocca. So, 50 to 75 shaves is doable. I have 40 shaves that I honed on my 5/8 Wostenholm without a refresh and is till going strong. I am certain that I will not need a refresh with my 50th shave on this razor.

Never seen or heard from again......I'm afraid that's what happened to the 13 oz Rise Superfoam can beauties. Now we have to get RiseGrooming(where I bought the supers from)to change its name, as there are no Rises of any kind left.
