rope - making handles for workout/exercise ideas/equipment

Sorry I missed this Bill, Yes it is one and the same. He wants to chat sometime this week to see if we can patch things up and go back to working together. I am just not sure I can do it - but I figure that meeting will be hard for him so I will give it a shot. I am not sure I trust him though. I have had a serving or two if humble pie in my day, it will be nice to serve up a slice this time.

Have I mentioned lately how very much I hate meth-heads? It's 5:00 AM on the first day of my Spring Break, I've got to drive a couple of hours later today to babysit for my sis-in-law, and I sit here awake. Why am I not resting? I can't--because of meth-heads.

There is one medication I can take for sinus problems. Only 1. Do not pass "go". Do not collect $200.

My wife and I have been sharing a 24 dose package of psudoephedrine, more commonly known as sudafed, for about 2 days now. That's not very much nasal relief. I'd have gone out and gotten more on Sunday, but there's not a pharmacist to be had in the county on a Sunday.

Took my last dose at midnight. It wore off at 4:00 on the nose. Neti pot isn't helping... I'm just generally miserable. If it weren't for the meth-heads, I could just pop in and buy some of the stuff whenever I need it.

tl;dr: Stupid tweakers ruinin' mah life.

 

Sorry Micah, I am out of sudafed and have to wait another 10 days before I can legally buy any more.

Freak darn it, it's Spring Break, I've got too much to do, including run to TXK, and now work calls me with freakin' server freakin' problems; I'm freakin' supposed to already freakin' be in freakin' Texarfreakinkana and freakin' Lowes, now I gotta freakin' go 20 miles in the oppofreakinsite direction to work on the freakin' server on my first freakin' day off

Well here's an update on my sudafed sitch:

Like I said, we had a 24 pill (actually, that's only 12 doses) that ran out last night.

Well, I go to walmart today to see if I can buy a 48 pack today, and I get to the register... Yes I just want plain old b-flat generic sudafed, it's the only thing that works... Okay, here's my ID... expired? What do you mean expired?

Yup, my driver's license expired on my birthday at the beginning of last month. Glad I haven't been pulled over. I never got any kind of notification in the mail. The lady behind the counter tells me that's been happening a lot lately. Then she tells me she can't sell me the sudafed.

Look lady, it's obvious I'm sick and miserable and I need the meds. You said yourself that the only kind that works for you is the real stuff. Hook a brother up. My wife says, "Let me buy it then."

"I can't let you buy it for him."

"Are you kidding me? Look, I'm sick, too, I've got sinus drainage, and I need the pills. I bought a 24 pack last week, and it's gone, I need more."

"Well, okay, I'll let you buy it this one time," accompanied with the look of dissaproval.

So now, I'm out of town and off work and I can't legally drive anywhere. I'm probably on a "don't ever sell them sudafed again" list somewhere. And I get to babysit tonight and tommorrow. Yee-frickin' ha!

On the other hand, I got to take some sudafed, and I'm feeling a tad better. We listened to some recordings of the preacher from our last gospel meeting on the way here, and that lifted my spirits a little.

All in all, I guess it's pretty good.

Now I've got see what the DMV needs in order for me to get my license back. I hope I don't have to go in.

 

Hate it, hate it, hate it...I'm in the same boat, and I hate that the drug dealers and crackheads rights while breaking the laws trump my rights as one who's anal enough to stop at a stop sign in a parking lot at 2:00 AM when no one is around.

Instead of punishing the law abiders, let's umm, I don't know, get the freakin' drug-heads off the street permanently?

I wish. On the upside, I didn't have to drive the 2 hours up here as my license has expired!

$25 and 5 minutes online and now I'm good to again. Thankfully I was able to re-up online.

 

Hey Jim, I think Harbor Freight is hiring! You know, if the Lowe's thing doesn't work out. I'm thinking employee discount at HF could be dangerous, though.

speaking of the good Doctor, I finally caught some Matt Smith episodes. I really like his Doctor. Dr. Who is definitely better without Russell T Davies.

 

SM >>RTD for certain.

I'm still uncertain on Smith. He did grow on me throughout his first season and I felt he got better in the later episodes. My only concern is that his best episodes IMHO all were with Alex Kingston and I wonder if he can deliver that level of performance without her.
