With my Electric Sheep single soap focus now complete, I quickly knew what I would reach for - LEA Classic.
Today, I also got to use my new brush for the first time. After it arrived on Saturday, I gave it a Dial anti-bacterial hand soap wash and then 2 test palm lathers later. During the those lathers, it did lose about 10 hairs. I hope that does not continue.

2+ passes today with the Super Speed provided a comfortable and efficient result with no irritation or mishaps. The lower neck irritation from yesterday still lingered slightly, so I used only WTG passes there. I returned to face lathering today, as that is what I know best and would give me a better idea of the brush's performance. After reading the instructions included with the brush, one may be lead to believe that Simpson brushes are very delicate. I did adhere to their recommendations of using only "light to-and-fro strokes" like a paint brush, although I do not think using circular motions would damage the hairs, as long as the brush is not swirled while completely splayed. No hairs left the knot today and it performed well overall. I am glad I finally have a Simpson in the collection.

Just because I have no NB willpower, doesn't mean I don't know how to play the game, Charlie.
But when it comes to a 30 day Rule or Focus or a 3017 of a soap, no one plays THAT game better than I.

 

If brick and mortar stores are allowed in a NB, I guess you could set your GPS to Pasteur Pharmacy or Maggard's.

Phew...I am not sorry that soap is gone.

All kidding aside, the soap is ok. You can, and I have done MUCH worse.
But now it's time to move on.
I need the 30DC crew judges to weigh in on this:
Do I just pick another soap and forge ahead with the "Rule"?
Do I keep the R41 and compliment it with different gear, thus changing the "Rule" to a "Focus"?
Do I abandon the "Rule" entirely and suffer the ignominy and snarky comments from...
Excellent final shave, albeit with two miniscule red marks.
Wiped them away with the Dickinson's. (There is another product I won't lament losing)
Proraso after shave balm. (This'll need replenishing, since I am not on a NB 2021)
Completed the shave with one of my favorites from the house of Nasomatto: Black Afgano

Great two pass shave with Proraso Green face lathered with Yaqi Cashmere. Derby Premium seems to work well with Van der Weishi.
